There is a clinic here in town that uses this (southern Illinois). The program they use requires no editing like speech recognition would. Another clinic further south of me (ortho clinic), uses speech recognition. I don't think they have editors on staff. When I heard the doctor dictating her report (I was in a room close to where she was dictating), she was talking extremely slow. I guess that way there are less errors for the doc to go back and correct. I don't know, but it has to be very time consuming to have to dictate that slow, but they've been using it for a long time and will probably not change.
