EMR's

I know of several situations and in fact am  just starting one position where I tyupe directly into the EMR.  .  Some of the older doctors will not do the typing and their charts are getting way behind.  I did this a couple of years ago for a Family Practice Group and eventually all five doctors came back to dictating instead of writing directly into the EMR and I could not handle it all and so they hired a full-time MT.  .   There is a Oncology Group here in Portland that has Transcriptionist type directly into the EMR.  So even though they go that way, some docs won't do it and you just open up the patient file/chart and start typing.  Now some do not have word processing capabiliities and that is harder to do since there is no spell checker.  But you can still do it.    Good luck.
