I was told that my daughter would never develop properly for advancement in school and was headed for trouble (she didn't like to write and had that "focusing on subject matter" problem). This came from her kindergarten teacher 7 years ago. My husband and I didn't listen and today she's consistently on the honor roll at school and never brings home a grade lower than a B. The first time she made the honor roll I mailed a copy of the announcement to her former kindergarten teacher. I'm also hearing the same thing about my 6-year-old son. He doesn't pay attention too well in class. They talked about sending him to a counsler and I told them to stick it. I'm expecting baby #3, I can't wait till he (just found out it's a boy) starts school and what kind of "problems" he'll have.

Hang in there
