I've taken both at the same time with no problems.  Be ready to be very sleepy when you start the Elavil.  I would fall asleep sitting up every time I got still and probably could have fallen asleep standing up it made me so sleepy, but it only lasted for about two weeks and it has been a life saver as far as my headaches go.  Hope this helps!

mixing Elavil and Wellbutrin
if it's okay to take these 2 meds at the same time?  I am taking Wellbutrin SR 200 mg twice daily, now neuro doc wants me to start taking Elavil for migraine prophylaxis.  They are both anti-depressants.  He knows I'm taking Wellbutrin so surely he wouldn't prescribe something for me that could potentially be a dangerous combination, but it still scares me.  I did a brief online search and couldn't find any contraindications......???
Elavil hahaha YUCK

for the first few days went to work in a very good mood, almost tipsy!!

Surprisingly, I did not care for that feeling!

I had to take it in the morning or else I could not fall asleep!! I have ADD so that might account for the reason I need to take all meds similar to Elavil in the morning.
