'Mutual desire of both parties' though it sounds vaguely kinky means either of you can get out of the arrangement at will.  If there is no required notice specified (2-weeks, 1-month) then I think either of you can call it quits.  Standard business courtesy is 2-weeks to quit a job.  You can bet if they wanted to get rid of you they would make it immediate, since a disgruntled fired MT can really make mischief during that last day or two.  Usually they just lock you out of their system immediately.
