Flipping that around

Let's fight fire with fire. If I have a contract to type 500 lines between this time and that time and for whatever reason (because it seems to happen all the time) there are not 500 lines to type then what? I suppose that is a different story then. Is someone going to pay me for the 500 lines that are not there? Just kills me when a company says they want say 1200 lines/day or so many reports a day but do not want to take a stand when there is no such work. What gives?
