The thing that concerns me is that I already have metaplasia of the cells lining my esophagus and of course I'm worried about it progressing into Barrett's. They do it laparoscopically now which is a big plus, but I'm still worried about it. I work with somebody who has no regrets about hers, but I like to hear more from others. Most of what I read on the internet is bad stories, but that makes sense since the people who are happy they had it are most likely not hanging around complaining on message boards!  So I am looking to hear both sides to help in my decision.
