Germs

Why would a sponge hold germs any longer than a cloth?  I use both but I also use a lot of hot water to clean them and either purex or Tyles  to disinfect.  I also throw them into the dishwasher when I am doing dishes.   But we all survived growing up without our Moms killing all those germs and sometimes I think we were healthier as our immune systems could fight things off better.  Now with all the antibitoic use and disinfectants, we have all these weird autoimmune diseases MRSA, staph, cellulitis, sclerloderma, etc.  I was typing for a Wound Clinic and one of the docs said that if we continue to use the antibiotics, Neorposin and disinfectants like we are doing, our systems are going to be resistant to everything and we will have to live in a bubble.  We need to let our bodies work to fight off things and use the drugs for when they are absolutely needed.   Now I will get out my chicken to mop my floor -- just kidding.
