Go for it

Don't know what kind of doctor he is but go for it.  Basically call and talk with him and ask him if he uses tapes or digital.  Then you can figure out what you will need to provide service for him.  Find out how many patients he sees that he dictates on, if it is only office visit but if he is a specialist, consults, letters, Op  notes.  Then what have you to lose but to go for it.   If he has a service now, try to figure out why he is displeased with that service so you don't make the same mistakes.  even with pick up and delivery at 15 cpl that is good money.  But until you know for sure that you are a good mix do not give up your regular job -- at first offer 24 to 48 TAT telling him that you need to give your present place two weeks notice.  And it might be just a good "second account" if this account is not that large.  But what do you have to lose to try and everything to gain.    so I say go for it.   Patti
