Not that I agree with this poster, because I think he/she is trying to stir things up; however, what he/she meant was the inside of the message. The OP started her message with a little "angry" face. Her post wasn't about the "flame" on the outside of the message. Hope that clears things up.

Thank you Goldbird
Appreciate you keeping the board for what is was meant to be, a general topic board.
To Goldbird.............sm

we were joking around about Bush being offshored......you chose to remove the posts....what about Sheri's Steadmans main post above all the posts about Embracing Offshoring?  I respect both you and Sheri but is this hypocritical?  I'm not looking to start a nasty war...it just seemed okay to post the jokes about offshoring Bush since I saw Ms. Steadman's top post about we should embrace offshoring (no way I'm embracing this as thousands of Americans continue to lose their jobs in ALL fields).

Thanks for taking the time.....

FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR:
I never said I "embraced" offshoring. That was someone else's words and I addressed this in my Sticky post at the top of this forum. I still do not agree with it, but I also see the reality that it's not going away.  I see no reason to continue a pointless battle.  As I said before, when all 3 of our credit bureaus are outsourcing our private financial information offshore then what difference does it really make regarding health information? Again, I fought the good fight, even getting a bill passed in my state, but alas the legal eagles got in the way and the bill was squashed before it could become a law.  Since then, I continued fighting the onslaught of offshoring, but when I saw my own credit being able to be pulled up on computers overseas, that was when I realized that it was fruitless to continue pursuit.

If you have a joke to share, post it on the Comedy board. If you have a political point of view to share, post it on the Politics board.  That's what they're there for.  The Main board is not the proper place and these types of posts will be removed for no reason other than they belong on the appropriate forum.

Thanks, Goldbird!!! nm

Thanks Goldbird! Yes, Blu ... sm
Again, yes Blu, the owner absorbs the cost and does the QA at their expense.  Why?  In order to teach and provide for the company trained, qualified transcriptionists who just may turn out to be grateful and wonderful employees.  Employees with the ability to be promoted to team leaders, employees who get the raises and bennies that they deserve.  I truly understand why you are doubtful and sound suspicious, however, I truly want to both provide an excellent working environment as well as to make a profit.  I don't believe that those are entirely opposing ideas, just unusual in a time when most CEO's (like those of a major oil company!) take all they can and give back very little.  So, I'm an idealist, so what?  I just want an opportunity to try and provide a positive working environment as well as to make money.  So, all of you who kindly have responded and to those of you who are thinking of doing so, please tell me what benefits and working conditions your dream job would incoporate.  Like I said earlier, maybe I can't provide all of them but even a few would be nice!
Exactly! Well-put Goldbird. SM

And I've learned to ignore the ignorant and jealous - those who make such comments - it's a great feeling!

Congratulations on your CMT (to the original poster)!     I'm hoping to take the exam within the next year or so.

You mean Goldbird?

I agree!

Goldbird Moderator maybe you can help (sm)
I've emailed the administrator twice now and received no response (even gave her a few of the passwords that I know I've used on the internet).   I used to go into chat once in a while to see if anyone was there, but in the past few months I haven't been able to.  I tried every password I know I've used and even tried to re-add myself, but it says I'm already in the system (I know that because I used to be able to get into chat).  I've asked to have the password sent to me but it's never showed up.  How can I get my password sent to me again?
Is Goldbird and Busy MT one and the same?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Why does this happen so often?

Although I don't post questions or responses very often, it gets really frustrating and it seems at least every other time I try to post something this happens.  What causes it and how can it be stopped?

I think you got your wish - message from Goldbird- posts deleted
and I think that the only thing that is not allowed is offshore companies soliciting on the boards, I am pretty sure that there are offshore transcriptionists on here.  They can certainly lurk, but I think there is some posting, too.
Stop trying to stir up trouble. Goldbird is a moderator and retired MT. She and
Busy MTing are two different people.
