I got mine on Amazon.com and had it working in about 10 minutes. nm

I've got it really bad, but mine is from the &$@#($@#
ESL dictators that also mumble.  Out of 28 reports today I've had 27 of these reports.
I've never used mine for anything but definitions! But
s
I've scheduled mine too (sm)

On my authorization letter to test it said CTMC and so I registered for test C on the Prometric site.  I paid $150 with the current discount.  Hopefully that is all that is necessary for you too.  Good luck getting it figured out and good luck on the test.  Mine is scheduled for December 11th!  :)

Well, I've never changed mine and
don't plan to, so it should always be me!
Your letter could've been mine ---
Two applications to 'brick & mortar' hosp. MT depts. that ARE HIRING, and yet no response, not even an email. I think age descrimination is playing a role here.
I've had mine since 2001 and it is the best - sm
Seeing as I spend so much time in this chair, comfort equals production. I paid $450 for it from a local Herman Miller furniture dealer. They had it as a demo during one of the office furniture shows.

It has a 12-year warranty and when I needed my hydraulic cylinder replaced, they came to my home, fixed it on site and even replaced the seat webbing so the chair was just like new once again.

For all the money I had spent in the past on chairs I had to replace once a year and sometimes more, I figured I'm getting a good return on my investment.

Check ebay or other places on the web to see if you can find it at a more reasonable price.
I've been babying mine for weeks

I just work for mine. MT is the closest I've come to SM

good return on my time, and I know that's not true for everybody.

Don't want to insult you, but -- why not just work for your money?

Well I've ordered mine! I'm so excited! nm

I've had mine on here with many kinds of software. Don't think it will be a problem. nm

eScription won't work with MSWorks.
There's one on Amazon
that I was considering - begins with an S (lots of help I know) but it lights up (can turn off) so that should help you find it Sinetech?

Anyway the reviews are that it is very quiet and has a great touch - so it may be worth reviewing...

I'm going to order it soon - watch for my review ;)

Amazon
I bought books from them before, not for 1.79, but my medical concise dictionary by Stedman's was $10, that was pretty good to me.
Try Amazon
Amazon.com will let you listen to a portion of each track on a CD. I'm not sure if it's all CDs, but everything I have been interested in allowed this.

Be careful if you get an Amazon.
When they reach sexual maturity at about 3-4 years of age, they can become quite aggressive and attack their owners, often inflicting severe wounds. If you have children, an Amazon is not a good choice. Be mindful that any parrot you get will almost definitely outlive you. Also, please consider adopting from a rescue. There are many wonderful parrots out there in need of homes and it is a growing problem, as people don't realize what they're getting into. Having a parrot is like having a 2-year-old child forever, with all of the problems that come with it.
Question about Amazon
Do they have a search engine like Google? If so, is it better?
Amazon jungle...by myself...
was my first time out of the country. I traveled with a group from the local college but didn't take DH or anyone else I knew. Very empowering to travel independently, loads of fun. We zip-lined, cruised the rivers, found jaguar tracks, saw waterfalls and climbed 200 feet tall trees, danced with the natives...a total blast. The jungle is a lot like Wisconsin, actually...the mosquitos in Wisconsin are just as bad as the Amazon.
Look on Amazon or eBay.

They're available at Amazon.com.

Suggest to go to Amazon.com and buy SM
"When The Name Of The Game Is Saving Keystrokes" by Diana Rolland. You have to have a system. The book teaches you that.

Don't start just making them up randomly or you will go crazy. One thing I use is dividing word in half like nesc for nephrosclerosis, but, as stated, buy book.
Check amazon.com or e-bay.

Amazon has cheapest shipping (sm)
I tried transcriptiongear -- for what they wanted in shipping, I was able to buy an extra set of Sony headphones from Amazon plus pay for 2-day UPS shipping. Or try your local Radio Shack -- you can search their site online and see if something is in stock locally.
The Amazon one appears to be a current

edition and the CD that comes with it is an outdated spellchecker and not the dictionary on CD-ROM.  The Stedman's one is just the CD and they are always more than the book.  The have more detailed info on the CD.  I have an older version of the book and I think I've used it 2 times in 10 years.   When I update my Stedman's now I buy the CD and I might use it more if I had it on CD versus the book, though with their CDs now you can only install it twice.  They also have the book, but it is about $50.

Check the classified board here and check half.com.  You can most likely find it cheaper at either place.

wow. I just got a Stedmans book for 1.79 on Amazon.
Brand new!  I never thought to look on there for a book!
I saw these on Amazon for only $70 and free shipping!

Thank you, Medware and MT Stars for the $50 Amazon gift.

I purchased Office 2003 at Amazon.com.

The owner can sell on Ebay or Amazon, thus

can take the responsibility and offer a limited warranty that it performs properly.  Or can recondition the equipment.  Myself, I would not buy and Lanier is expensive.  A lot of job worksites want MTs to provide/purchase this expensive stuff, no way.

Who knows if you will continue with the service and if not, you have equipment that only works with services that have that equipment.  Nope, not me, would not buy, would not sell the owners equipment.  It will come back to "you" and owner may not accept and remedy

Funny! Mine is almost as large, and I don't mind cleaning mine!
It's no problem at all.  Besides, I'll take lots of oodles of square footage any day of the week over living in a sardine can!
I use EXText with my current job and I've used at a couple of other jobs I've had. I've ne

used DocQscribe, but I have used Meditech, Cerner, Vianeta, the Precyse platform (I can't remember the name), Dolbey, and  Lanier platform I think was called Cequence (?).

Out of all the different platforms I have typed on, I have liked EXText the best.  In my opinion, it's very user friendly, easy to learn, and I really like ESP which is the built in abbreviation expander.  Plus it is very easy to create your own normals which I love.  My fingers literally never leave the keyboard because there are macro keys for everything.  You can use your mouse if you prefer or learn the function macros.  I love it.  I think I'm more productive on EXText than with any other platform.

As you can already see, you've come to the wrong board! By using the word professional, you've
excluded about 99% of the population of "whatever" it is that hangs on these boards. Certainly not professional for sure! But you sure are doing a good thing for someone! Its the thought that counts. Sorry you met the dregs right at the start.

If you're supposed to be paid a certain $/line, that's what you should be getting no matter how they do billing unless of course it's specified in YOUR contract with THEM.

BTW, I've never caught a company cheating me ever.
