And for dessert - devil foods cake!
Off topic but need STAT ADVISE on deviled eggs

Hi,

I need help as I don't want to make anyone sick LOL.  Baby shower tomorrow night, my co-host who was making the deviled eggs along with other things broke her wrist this morning...soooo, I am in a time crunch and would like to know if I can make these things tonight (36), just boil them tonight, maybe do the prep just fill them tomorrow??  I usually make them & take them or serve them, but don't know about preparing them this 24 hrs ahead of time.

Thank any of you experts in advance for your opinions..this is so much easier than trying to call Betty Crocker

'Tis the season for fresh asparagus, steamed or roasted, or spinach sauteed with garlic. Yum! nm

Barbecued chicken, pastry, deviled eggs, & hushpuppies

fried chicken, mashed potatoes and asparagus
(canned asparagus - lazy)
Scalloped potatoes do not have cheese
in them so if you want cheese, look for au gratin potatoe recipe.
Not much different than eating French toast with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs w/cheese. nm

For me, it's ham, mashed potatoes/gravy, yeast rolls and some nice dessert, pie or cake.

My family makes a cake that is very
We just call it "Pineapple Nut Cake" . . . basically, the pineapple is the liquid for the batter, and because of the cream cheese frosting, folks always say, "This is the best carrot cake I've ever had!" It doesn't even have the spices that carrot cake has (but I believe that a Hummingbird cake does have the spices, but also has the pineapple and pecans).

Anyway, one of my favorties.
friends and family to appreciate me at my job?
I doubt you're getting raises and I doubt you use your money for "others" and you as well are a poor judge of character.  This initial post was about supervisors interacting more with their MTs so we can put a face with the name and feel like we have someone in our corner, being that we are so remote from coworkers.  Obviously, we disagree, lets agree to do that much.  You just sit and type away and collect your paycheck.
Anybody else have friends/family that act like you don't have a REAL job? sm

Just have to vent a little...

I have several extended family members and friends who give the impression that "just typing" and getting to work from home translates to "waiting for a REAL job to come along."  I have tactfully tried to drop the hint that first of all, a Transcriptionist does way more than "just type," and I'm sure make more per hour than any of them, to no avail.

Anybody else noticed this, too?

Take up a collection from family and friends

Even with $10 a person and maybe some groceries or a gift item, it only takes a few people to make a difference.

If his family or friends would happen - SM

to come across his last official medical report, it would certainly be a comfort to them that their loved one died peacefully rather than in pain or discomfort and was not alone in his final moments.

Yes - the few death reports I have transcribed over the years - each one of them alway automatically brought tears to my eyes.  It just shows that we're human, we care, and the dictating doc must also care, or he/she would just have dictated the medically/legally pertinent information.

sorry, that is call out of town family and friends, nm

I emailed my schedule to my family and friends...
Emailing my schedule to my family and friends has helped quite a bit. I included a request in that email to please respect my work time and not call me during those time periods that I was working. I do not answer the phone if it rings during my worko time (except for my husband), and since I have caller ID, I can see if the school nurse is calling to tell me I need to come get my kid. My biggest interuption is the 4-year-old playing in the same room!
they are jealous and hateful of anyone, family or friends who are successful.
They think they don't have to work too hard or follow the rules of society. Sometimes they embellish the truth or tell lies of ommission to have people feel sorry for them. There are lots of signs relative to how other people think that this person is way off base. Sometimes all they do is want to sleep. Other times they are on the phone for hours at a time. Something is off.
Earthquake cake? It that like Mudslide cake with a mocha drizzle??????????????
qqpp
Just one? Texas cake (chocolate cake no frosting) and ...
the other favorite is butter cake with chocolate frosting. Or chocolate with chocolate fudge frosting. Not sophisticated, but wonderful choices all.
I agree. Men should be the icing on the cake, not the whole cake.

Club Sandwiches, Chips, Pickles, Carrot Slaw
exciting, huh? :)
Lemon asparagus chicken

4 boneless chicken breasts

1 can cream of asparagus soup

1 Tbs lemon juice

1/4 cup milk

1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper or ground black pepper

Brown chicken breasts in 1 Tbs oil and set into a casserole dish.  Pour off any grease. Combine all the rest of the ingredients and add to frying pan to deglaze.  Bring to a boil and pour over chicken.  Bake chicken at 350 for 45 min or until done.  Serve with wild rice or something similar.  Peas are a good side with this too.

Roasted
Slice them, put them on a baking tray, drizzle them with extra virgin olive oil, best with a little fresh rosemary sprinkled on them, but can use dried.  roast at 350 till nicely browned.
Roasted caulifower sounds good!
nm
those whole roasted chickens or fried chicken parts
you buy in grocery store are chickens that the sale dates is very close to expiring, so they cook them and avoid throwing them away. I like my meat a little fresher than on the border of rotting time.
Friends, really miss Friends :-(
Joey just isn't the same for me
Oh yeah, try it on top of eggs...yum.

Never put all of your eggs in one basket!

Flexibility is the "key" in this profession, and also you have the type of job that not just anyone can do and be good at it.  Schools promise you the world, but they do in all professions.  Life is what you make of it, and that is the true bottom line!  Have fun, and keep typing!  There are so many doctors that like to have a Transcriptionist they can rely on.  Most offices decide once they send it out, to bring it back actually because they don't want to edit their own work!  We spoil them, not the EMRs, and believe me they like that!

Roasted parmesian garlic sauce over grilled chicken served on bed of vermicelli, green salad
with all the fixins including home-made croutons with garlic and homestyle ranch dressing with sweet tea! YUM!
mid -90 in WI and humid...fried eggs, anyone? nm

I've sold my eggs...

well, my chicken's eggs really.  Although now that I rethink that, perhaps selling various pieces parts would pay a few more bills....hmmm....

Seasonal things make good spare cash too like an honor-system veggie table  parked at the end of the driveway and homemade wreaths and x-mas centerpieces made from local greenery.

Oh the possibilities are endless if you posess a certain moral flexibility!   I've been thinking of rigging up a pay-per-view "boobie cam" pointed my way to make some extra cash while I type away.  "PayPal Accepted!"

Bunch of cracked eggs, I say! LMAO

Swiss cheese report

I know exactly what you mean!  I've had my share of those!  All last week was horrible.  They came out of the woodwork!    So I took Wednesday off due to frustration and went shopping!

The flannels and a movie sound great!  That's just what I did when I got home from shopping!

Update on my swiss cheese report...
I just checked my feedback and there were 8 QA markers out of the 24 that even QA couldn't get.  Shouldn't that tell someone something?
Have some cheese with that whine... cheesy companies
I am so with you! It's these cheesy MTSOs! I just got my social security statement of my earnings since college and I was blown away... it was great for my self-esteem but pointed out exactly what has been going on. Last year and the year before I made less than working my way through college!!! It was down to 14-15K a year!! No joke. I look back to around 2000 and I was up to 50K a year plus benefits. That had been going on for some time. Even at 2005 I was doing okay, in the 40s. What happened? For a year I thought it was me, but no, my hospital outsourced and I went to a service. Found out they counted lines differently and I bounced from service to service the last 2 years. YIKES. I am now below the poverty level and a single mom. I should take these earnings statements to somebody.. I don't know who. But I am with you! There are only so many hours in the day and only so much work, etc. etc. At least you know there are those like you out there who have the same vent... but we have got to band together and somehow get paid again what we are worth! Good luck to you!
yep, rum cake mmm
your making me hungry!!
Actually, it is not I who wants my cake and eat it too
but it is the client. When I started with them, I had no previous experience. They didn't want to hire as employee, but wanted IC, so they don't pay benefits, etc., but they want to call the shots, telling me no subcontracting, they want me to pick up tapes-no courier, they refused to telecommute, they want me to go out of my way to abbreviate, etc. to cut lines as much as possible, and they want to dictate pay per line.
Recipe for new potatoes
Making a lemon garlic chicken dish for my neice and need something intesting to do with new potatoes to go with it, any suggestions?
Potatoes might help...Then remove them.
Good luck.
Bacon, egg, and cheese on toasted bagel. DH cooked again.
