taking the computer to a friend's home or a wireless hotspot. If is works in another location, it is probably something wrong with the wireless router. If it doesn't work in another location, it is probably your computer, no matter how new it is. Alternatively, you could have a friend bring their computer, hopefully a laptop, to your home and try to connect. If they don't have any trouble, it's probably your machine.
