In the hotels that we stayed at, they would have a totally separate plug-in for the internet--separate from the telephone line. I'd plug my computer into their internet port, and then I'd unplug the hotel's room telephone from the wall and plug my C-phone into that (you can also take a line splitter with you for this telephone line, depending on exactly how you need to be connected up). Most of the time, I'd have to dial 9 first for an outside line--then I just proceeded to make my call as usual.
