Here's what I use

on all my animals:  Aloe Advantage 3-Step Wound Care.  It works wonders for cuts, abrasions and skin problems.  You might be able to get it at your local farm store or co-op.  If you're interested and need help locating it, I believe it's available on the internet, or I'll be glad to look on my stuff when I go to the barn in the a.m. and get you an address.  Fairly expensive but well worth it.
