Get a resume together, short sweet, to the point.  Include your phone number.

Make a list of what type of position you would like to have, i.e., part-time/full-time, IC, employee status, would you like to work on a platform or just in Word.

Just go ahead and start applying to things on the job seeker's board depending upon what specialty you were doing before.

I think you'll be surprised at the job offers you get.  Just keep in mind, the going rate at this point is anywhere from 7-9 cpl.  Most companies do not pay more than that until you have been with them a while.

TransTech is hiring, Medquist is hiring, Keystrokes is hiring, and there are many others.  Just do a little research here on this board.

You also want to keep in mind you're equipment.  If you don't have any equipment, then you may want to at least invest in a wav pedal that allows you to test for companies and load DSS, wav files, etc.  You can get your online player Express Scribe for free by going to www.vancedigital.com.

Good luck in your search.  Many are hiring, it all depends on what you like and what you're willing to take as pay.
