you'll get a good doc in to replace the old one. My personal joke in the rural areas around here is these docs couldn't get a job in a bigger place (low MCATs)! Good luck. Check with other singers about the tonsils thing, she has a right to be worried. I wouldn't want to risk my voice either, but sore throats are no fun. Can you get a second opinion? I didn't think they took tonsils out much anymore.
