I'm doing it

The pool of excellent experienced MTs is small here, like most places. I'm doing radiology now, and when the other MT went out on extended leave, we hired two temp workers. One is experienced and the other is right out of MT school. I think it's great because we work side-by-side in our office, so with every question, I slide my chair right over for a look/listen. That's the ONLY way to train a newbie from most schools, IMO. Who knows when we might hire her permanently - the business is growing. This is a second job for the experienced MT.
