...indifference and/or carelessness about giving your personal information to anyone that you cannot identify is exactly what keeps Internet identity thieves and fraudsters in business.
I cannot say whether this site has been set up to harvest information from unsuspecting MTs or not. We simply don't know. What is quite clear, though, is that there are lots of people like you who can very easily be snared by such simple ruses as this if that does happen to be the purpose.
