I am going through this...

right now with a job I just got hired for.  I already have the C-phone, but not the unlimited LD. 

What I am looking into right now is the unlimited LD through the broadband connection (ie Vonage and the one I am probably going to get is through a company called Lingo).  The service is only 19.95 a month and you use your existing broadband connection and the phone gets plugged into their adapter.  They give you your own phone number and all the calling features of a regular phone.

Right now I pay, $30 for my DSL and then another $30 (and most of the time more than that) for the second phone line. 

It's something to look into if your interested in going that route.
