Most lasagna recipes have cottage cheese in it, so a side of cottage cheese would be redundant. Not being mean about it, it just wouldn't make sense to to me to serve it as a side, sorta like having pasta/marinara sauce and serving sliced tomatoes as a side, but since you already know what you're going to serve, your problem solved!
