Do you ever feel the financial crunch?
My house payment and insurance are auto debited from my checking account.  However, work has been so slow and my paychecks have been so puny that I need to get more money in there to cover those.  I've called everyone on the planet that owes me money, but nobody's coughing it up.  I'm the one that posted the other day about the medical company and the IRS owing me money from way back.  I wouldn't have a problem at all if they would just pay me.  I've tried picking up extra work and looking for a new job, but there's nothing anyone can do that would pay today.  I don't want to take my rings to the pawn shop because I don' t think I'd get a whole lot out of them anyways.  Interest on those check cashing loans is terrible, then you get sucked into that cycle of borrowing from them repeatedly.  I've already cut my household expenses back as much as possible.  I'm just so stressed about it all.  Has anyone else ever been in this situation?  What do you do?  I can't stand being broke.
Not a bad idea for those crunch times. :)

I typed Dr. Cap'n Crunch eater this a.m.

I could hear him slurping to keep the milk from running down his chin.

Same here - will never stop listening. I do feel the crunch though
when I am backed up. I just work a little extra in the evening or on the weekend to make up for it.

When kids need or want to talk, it is best to stop everything and listen. They become more secure and confident in themselves, more productive and successful in society. I always stop whatever I am doing when my kids stand there wanting to talk to me. Mine are 17 and 14. As soon as they get in from school, in my office they come.

I am so thankful I work at home and am here for them after school. I would not trade that for anything in the world!

Neurologist
doing a physical exam...

"NEUROLOGIC: The patient has no shlurred speeth."

The doctor started laughing so hard at himself, and I was laughing so hard I had tears coming down my face. I will never forget that one.
I have one neurologist that I can do 1:1...

Those are common. See your OB?GYN or neurologist
There are a lot of medications out that help that type of headache, and my neurologist's office (Dr. Scott Ferer and Dr. Philip O'Carroll in Newport Beach, CA) is doing a trial for those types of headaches too. I had those when I was younger. When I got pregnant with my son, they mostly disappeared. Have you seen a neurologist? They can do hormonal manipulation or other methods. Good luck!
you *dictate for a pediatric neurologist*??

I think you meant to say you *transcribe* for a pediatric neurologist?....meanwhile - in field 30 years - and if one chooses to work for a pediatric any-specialty MD - you're going to have MD dictating during working hours, in between patients (like most MDs do) or while consulting with the patients, and you are going to get LOTS OF BACKGROUND NOISE.

Know this now and it will not change and if you don't like it, don't do pediatrics.....but best of luck whichever way you choose and it's not just you - pediatrics tend to screaming/fussy/not-feeling-well children....or just for  well visits.....but they are kids....they will act and behave like kids....

and MDs don't want to dictate at the close of their day nor at home nor on the weekends at home.....that's their time....

and so we suffer.......*lol* - and keep on keepin' on....
