There was warning that Katrina was coming, and the people had 2 days or so to evacuate. Why didn't these people leave? I don't understand why these people are blaming the government for their misfortune. Believe me, I sympathize, however, I just do not understand why they did not leave before this castrophe.

When watching TV, it seems it is all one race or one class of people, poverty stricken. Were most of these people homeless to begin with living on the street?

If it were me, I would have gotten out of there to another state quickly even if I had to walk.

This just boggles my mind.

It is not the government's fault a hurricane struck the USA!
