Sometimes I do boneless chicken
breasts marinated in barbecue sauce. Just put them in on low and let them cook all day long. They come out so tender that they just fall apart!! Also, pork tenderloin is excellent in the crockpot. You can buy them pre-marinated at the grocery store or you can mix up your own concoction. Boneless chicken breast is also excellent if you use Newman's Own Balsamic Vinegrette salad dressing as a marinade. I know it may sound strange, but I guarantee you if you try it, you'll fall in love with it!

Forget dinner! Just prepared a huge lunch. Skillet chicken: Skinless boneness breasts cooked in skil
golden brown, add can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of frozen mixed veggies, 1/2 c water - cover and cook about 15 minutes.
Then I made homemade mashed potatoes - extra thick - with plenty of pepper :0

Then, boiled my water for my sweet tea....with lemon.

After the chicken is done, pour a cup and a half or so of mozerella cheese on top and let it sit for about a minute or so.

The mixture from the potatoes is a creamy blend with mixed veggies poured over either rice or potatoes. I just make stuff up all the time like this. You could even add crackers to the mixture to give it a crunchy feel. My 2 boys were in heaven today. Of course, I may have to work the night shift when my lunch is finished - when I eat like this during the afternoon I usually skip dinner altogether because of the carb content.

Remember with this dish: You can do it low fat by substituting above ingredients. Also remember to have plenty of color to your diet! Voila!
That chicken looks good, too! Fried chicken is the one thing
I'm terrible at making. I just can't do it. Whenever we do have fried chicken maybe once a year, I buy the frozen boxed stuff or KFC.

I haven't thought about dinner yet. I'm making muffins today, spiced applesauce muffins, Tabor City yam bread muffins, and banana zucchini muffins. Going to send some to work with hubby and freeze the rest for breakfasts.
Use less salt than directed in the recipes. Try the powdered milk hot chocolate recipes! Yummy :-)

There are some good crockpot recipes out there, especially

if it's hot and you don't want to use the oven.  I do a "golfer's special".  Line a cake pan with tin foil, put the roast in, and add cut up carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery.  Sprinkle it with onion soup mix or beef gravy mix, close the foil, then bake until done.  It can also be done in the crockpot.

You can cube your roast to make shish kebabs slathered in BBQ or some other bold tasting sauce.  Skewer new potatoes, onions, mushrooms, squash, red peppers, and whatever other veggies you like.

You can cut up the roast either before or after cooking, stick it in the crockpot with some beef broth, let it cook all day, then serve as French dip sandwiches on steak rolls with au jus.  Fries, salad, or chips on the side.

Sometimes I just sit here and Google for recipes when I'm bored and can't think of what to cook for dinner.  Type "rump roast recipe" on Google without quotes to see what else comes up.  You can narrow your search by adding "BBQ" or "crockpot".

Whats for din din tonight? Need some good recipes!!!!
I usually have lots of ideas but starting to run out .  Need something different for a change.

Kid having to have breasts examined to drive?? WHAT??
This is the oddest post I have ever seen in my life. Lady I think you need to see the doctor, and not a medical one. I always think with each ridiculous thing I hear, it can't get any worse and sure enough, it does. Cannot turn a steering wheel because of a cancerous breast. Having to do on a 17 year old minor? I do not think any of this is true. Too early for April's Fool Day though.
Did you grill that?
nm
My favorite way is cut up and done on the grill.
I never liked zucchini until I had it on the grill. You can use one of those veggie baskets with holes in it. Put in some yellow squash, firm roma tomatoes, and button mushrooms. Coat with a little olive oil spray first. Mmmmmmmmm! Simple and delish.

Pork Roast Grill Recipe
I usually make pork chops on the girll, but I have a pork roast that I want to make on the grill and I was wondering if anyone had any recipes.  I usually marinate it but was looking to see if someone had another type of recipe using just spices and/or herbs or just something new and different I could do or have with it.  TIA.

Here's a link to a focaccia bread recipe.  I've never tried it, because I bought this from a bread store this morning.  The loaf I bought has onion, spinach, garlic, sundried tomato, parmesan cheese, and herbs on top.

Jerk seasoning can be used on most meats.  You can buy sauces or make your own rub.  Look for either Caribbean or Jamaican jerk.  KC Masterpiece makes a good spiced Caribbean jerk marinade.  It's got molasses, soy sauce, onion, garlic, spices, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, red pepper, hot pepper, and pineapple puree.

Easter recipes sm
It is very difficult for me because my children married different faiths and it used to be that we (before they married) would go to church and then to a restaurant (our favorite) as a special treat for family style soup, salad and main course. Of course, the "new" family had to kill this plan since the other side did not like our Church. Too bad. I started to cook brunch after service which included: Coffee or tea, lots of different juices, bacon, ham (spiral), fried potatoes (home fries), waffles (finally woke up to buying prepared and frozen), lots of syrup, butter, fresh strawberries and blueberries, some favorites of the grandchildren (one liked cantaloupe, another's favorite was my homemade sugar cookies, another liked my peanut butter cookies). I cook for days but it's worth it. Know how I got rewarded? The "other" moms got so jealous, they started to offer "brunch" instead of the traditional dinner (ham and all the trimmings, sit-down style).. I was frustrated at this, but I still try. Why don't people realize that "life is temporary" - whatever works for you. Since someone "stole" my brunch idea, I offer nice foods still, at whatever time their schedule (allows) them to show up; not necessarily breakfast, but some rented "childrens movies" with no pressure. As long as we build it, they will come. However, my brunch was sooooo popular, I'm glad someone "stole" it from me. It's kind of like having MT account "stolen" from you, it's not the same quality, but you have to realize that copying you is a true compliment and you should enjoy it. BTW (by the way) I have a bit of Polish in me, so I thoroughly enjoyed the kielbasa aspect of Easter, I slice it up and cook it first in a little water to get rid of the grease. Then I recook it using currant jelly and slice it, put wooden toothpicks in there and let them munch. Easter should be fun, no matter what religion you are in or out of, "He" would just like you to have fun on His special day, or more especially a family day, never mind what you believe in or choose not to believe in. It's a fun day!!!
Thanks for the recipes. They sound
great.

there's more info on how MTs feel about their companies than recipes/fav songs.
Besides I wouldn't come to this board to learn what some cranky MTs favorite song is. I'm here to dish the dirt about the companies who control the MTs.
try foodtv.com....they rate the recipes hard and easy, too, I think. nm

Poor child, I had the same; I couldn't swallow - even my saliva hurt going down.
As I recall, that lasted about 3-4 days.

Whole chicken. sm.
I like to bake mine whole too.  I put a full can of beer inside the cavity (up its butt sorta speaking), but then I cook it in one of those Reynold's cooking bags about 20 minutes per pound.  It falls off the bone.  Sometimes they have specials where I live where you can get them for only 29 and 39 cents a pound. I buy 3 or 4 then.
I have a chicken dog too :)
My dalmation is so afraid of storms.  She tries to crawl under my desk when it thunders and just shakes.  If I pet her for a while she will calm down.  The other day we had a storm and I was doing dishes and she tried to crawl under my kitchen sink, knocking everything out.  She also hates the vacuum and the hose.  I don't know that I would give her medication.  That may be more trying for her than the occasional storm.  Maybe letting her in your office might help if you see it is going to storm.  A few treats never hurt either!

Chicken pox in the mouth
I'd be calling my doc asap with it being in her mouth. The home remedy I had to use was Maalox/Benadryl and doc added diluted Xylocaine to numb it. My dd had it on her uvula also. Made a concotion of yogurt with the above also and added Lysine to it to. That is after the doc had a look at her. Good luck but don't mess around.
Um, chicken, not chick.

chicken recipe
The recipe says 2 toss of garlic. Is it suppose to be 20 toes of garlic since you call this 20-garlic chicken? Thanks for your help.
20 garlic chicken. sm
At the risk of sounding dumb - are you supposed to use two whole actual things of garlic.  Garlic has always confused me.  The recipe sounds wonderful but two whole garlic or two segments of one garlic thingy?
