just bought IT, I know they mention that system on their website. I still need to install the IT, but will be importing my SH and Smartype abbreviations into it. I use basically either the first letter of each word in a phrase, or the first two letters, so I need to fix that so I am more consistent.
tbd = to be determined
ca = carcinoma
lll = left lower lobe
rle = right lower extremity
dimex = distance metastesis
hyst = hypercoaguable state
that sort of thing. If I have the same 'abbreviation' for several phrases, I just add x, xx, xxx to the end and pick the one I want off the list. I am sure what I do can be improved upon though.
