I had the same PA most of the day yesterday with obvious sinus problems (which I know he can't help) trying to get the attending caught up on dictations from 2002 and 2004, so he tries to go through them quickly only to say repeatedly, "Excuse me," like he made a mistake. I have since discovered that this is like a nervous tick for him because he says it at least every other sentence whether he needs to make a correction or not. And he is one to mumble through several sentences only to stop and say, "Delete, delete, delete. Delete that last part."
