I registered on the Do Not Call list a few

years ago, which expires in 2008 (did not know it could expire). What does listing our number as private do? As in, will it keep telemarketers from calling?

call list

We began getting sales calls again, so my husband went back and resubmitted the information. We haven't gotten any since. It might be something you have to do annually. I don't know. It can't hurt to try though.

Are you on the Do Not Call LIst? sm
not saying this is the case, but a lot of times these calls are initiated by a computer.  the computer calls, you answer, but there's no operator on the computer end to finish the call.  I signed up for the do not call list when it first came up.  The silence was wonderful.  Then I moved - very irritating indeed!  I'm back on it and back to silence!
Add your number to the "Do Not Call" List

Not sure what the link is to get to it but its a national list that is now the law- telemarketers can not call you if your on the Do Not Call list. I'm sure you'll be able to find it if you Google it.

We also have our number listed as "private". I think there is a charge but its very small, under $2 a month (because its considered a "feature")

You can sign up for the national no-call list...sn
Found on google. I signed up both my land line and my cell, and now when calls come they are really for me and not someone I don't want to talk to! It took a bit of time for the process to take effect, but it works great! Good luck to you.
MMM, can you call some of mine too? I'll send a list. :)

I just went there and registered
just need to "sign up"
Where you are registered is
in the shower invitation. The actual wedding invitation should only include information regarding when, where, etc. It is considered poor etiquette to include any type of registry information or gift request in the actual invite.
registered the name where?
Doesn't sound great to me, there's a connection between atypical "not according to type" and typing, but it's kind of muddy. But it may catch the attention of some. However you haven't registered the name atypicaltyping.com, which would be my first step if I were in your shoes.
Registered Nurse or registered nurse
I think I am just tired.  The patient is a Registered Nurse.  Should that be capitalized?
There is something new - Registered MTs - but I don't know details

Awesome! Thanks so much!! I registered my 3 cats...

and will register a memorial for my dog who passed away 2 years ago.

Just for the heck of it, here's the link to "my kids"

Again, many thanks

Registered/Certified does not get you any more money
in the real world.

registered medical transcriptionist - for those
x
RMT is Registered Medical Transcriptionist, ...

and CMT is certified.  The RMT is available to new MTs without the 2 years experience required to sit for the CMT.  Both are money makers for AAMT and don't do much, if anything, in the real world of MT.  Sure, there are a few companies that offer a fraction of a cent more per line for the CMT designation, but most MTSOs, as well as the majority of healthcare facilities (from large hospitals to smaller clinics and offices) have never even heard of the AAMT.

Now, before anyone slams me for knocking the AAMT, I am not.  I am involved in a research project for a large project and have investigated the ups and downs and ins and outs of MT companies, schools, job prospects and much more.  The AAMT just doesn't carry the weight they might like people to believe.

And remember . . . The "American" in AAMT is gone.  That says a lot.

RMT=Registered Medical Transcriptionist
A fairly new credential for MTs who are not eligible for the CMT (Certified Medical Transcriptionist) credential yet.  You have to have 2 years of experience before you can take the CMT test.  With the RMT, you do not.
Doesn't that mean that it's not a registered version so you won't be able to use their tech
s
Anyone else get an email from aamt about REGISTERED MT beta test?
Seems pretty stupid to me.
got the "phone call" -- get this, MQ has hired a bunch of telemarketers to call all of us to

we received our "incentive packet."  They don't even have the wherewithall to contact us personally.   These are temp-agency hired telemarketers sitting around a boiler room making sure we're reading our mail.... told him it don't pertain to me because I've been demoted from FT to SE.... He said, "yes, the letter is vague, but it does pertain to FT as well as SE...." yeah right, we'll see.

*70 will disable call waiting unless you are expecting a call and want it on (nm)

Hi,

Anyone there who could help me out finding the latest abbreviations list.

any help for medical abbreviation list and medical drug list would be very helpful.

On-call requires on-call compensation by law
This field gets more disgustingly grotesque daily.
Call me, call me anytime.
I'm waiting to hear back on a job.  Call me!
Call KS and call your bank. Why ask here?
.
If they don't call you within 15 minutes, you should call them. There
is no excuse for leaving you sitting by a phone all day. At the very least, an e-mail explaining why the delay. If this is the way they train, how do they pay. Do you really want to work for a company who thinks so little of your time?
not me. Sometimes I even wonder if I'm on the list...sm

his parents are elderly and are quite good at being graciously demanding. As soon as he walks in the door at 4:00 p.m., the phone is ringing wondering when he will be over to shovel the snow off of their walk - and they don't even leave the house. I definitely feel he puts his parents before me. Like the line "I knew it was over when...", when for our 25th anniversary, he gave me a $2.99 bouquet the night before and then planned to go to his mom's for dinner the night of. Not divorced, can't quite get to that but have the same fantasies of running away and boy, then would he be sorry  . Breaks my heart to hear people calling each other soulmates as I believe I will never have that.

It's pn my wish list too,
but the one I tried out in the store had so many hard spots in it, I don't think it would be very comfortable to sit in all day.
wish list
I wish to find a company that:
Goes by lines/production and lets me have a window (12 or 24 hrs)instead of keeping a timecard.
Does not use a platform!! Maybe just has an FTP site or something, download the voice, then upload the jobs when done.
Not constantly IM'ing me!
this list
Would love to see a copy of this as well. Thanks.
I won't list them all but -

my hubby absolutely cracks me up.  He has a wonderful sense of humor and makes me laugh everyday (even on those "bad" days).  He tells me daily that he loves me or asks me "Do you know how much I love you?"  He is the only man I have ever been in love with AND trusted.

Here's the list....sm
Dogs: Shaina, Tiger & Taffy
Cats: Pearl, Ribbon, Samson, Ember & Hollow
Rabbit: Bonnie
Goldfish: Barbie

YES, we have a lot of pets! I had 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 bunny and the goldfish and when we got married last month my husband had the 4 cats and 2 dogs... so now we have a full house for sure!!!

No GAB on my list either
How do I get the GAB on my list?
here is a list of what i did
Completely and totally uninstall ANY remant you have of the program.  Then try a reinstall.  If that does not work, I would suggest calling Stedmans...they may have a patch.  I didn't get a new dictionary until the 2007 version so there may be something in there that they can give you to solve the issue.
when I do that, I have to do it for each list, is there a way...
to make it stay that way all of the time?
the list so far

OK- so far I have pixked up from the responses the following. I have not been able to process them fully to determine if a full course is needed as of yet.

1- need to learn format-           Would this be similar to writing up charts? Or do MTs have their own format in which they follow? We learned many different ways (or formats) to write up charts in school- and had the freedom to choose which worked best for us individually in our practice. A specific MT format would be something to learn in a class if they have one of their own. I've  written my own charts for many years, so if it is similar to that- then I should pick it up quick.

2- need to develop or experiment with hand -eye- listening skill for pedal/typing/translating -           I have very good hand eye coordination from being a dentist and performing procedures. And type fairly fast. I suppose I could figure out how to try out the devices before determining if it was something I wanted to do.

3- need to listen to some actual tapes-             good idea. I am sure they are unlike the tapes of lectures that I transcribed in Dental School. I have watched my ENT mumble into his recorder in amazement many a time.

4- might be dissapointed in the difference in pay-                definately something I already had considered. I am not looking for the same compensation. I don't expect it. I still have an office to go back to when I am ready - and do locum tennans here and there.  I have no idea what an MT makes. What do they make?

 Thanks- Susan

Try this site:

It lists companies by state with web sites and contacts.  This is how I found the job I have now.  Good luck and best wishes.

and a slew of special procedures (invasive) such as:

to name a few.
Thanks, but I have that list.
I have to follow the BOS 3rd edition for my company so I can't ignore it (unfortunately). I seem to have a lot of trouble finding what I need quickly in that book. I guess my brain is not organized in the same manner. Every time I read it I find something new.
As far as I know, there is not any list --sm
that can be imported into AutoText. You have to enter manually.
We can only use the list they provide

Hard to find when you're not sure what the name is even starting with. Even with a data base of 1,000 physicians, it's constant searching. I use the search option and try to search for just one tiny part of the name I can understands, but it takes forever!

I found the list. If anyone else is looking sm.

Go to CNN.com homepage, click on the story about family looking for missing loved ones. On the top of that story page there is a link called "Safe List."  That lists the names of everyone that has reported in as being safe.

Unfortunately, Andre Pouliot from Biloxi, Mississippi is not on that list. That is who we are looking for.

Thank you again.  We'll keep looking.

OTI should be on the good list too.
If you like flexible hours, decent accounts, no harassment from the office but plenty of good tech support, and IC status so you work your own schedule. If that's what you're looking for, OTI is a great place to work.
drug list
Does anyone know of a site to download/print a drug list (quarterly drug index)?  The one I have is old and the IDI I have is from 1999.
You just put yourself on the list with Walmart (sm)
You really just listed yourself in a class of people that don't deserve much credit either.  You are upset with Target because they don't support the military...however shortly thereafter you made it clear of your feelings about gays and lesbians.  Have you ever stopped to think about how many of those young men and women over there in harms way every moment of their life are gay?  Or do you only "recognize" the heterosexual soldiers?  Gotta love a hypocrite that bashes someone else for categorizing people...yet fail to see how they manage to lodge their own foot in their mouth in the process.
Wal Mart on my poo list
I went to Wal Mart as I always do. I wanted the laptop for $386. I work two jobs and really wanted to be able to remove myself from my desk to do personal stuff wherever or do my coding job away while watching tv. They only had 25 of them. I was like 35 in line. I cannot believe that is all they got in. Then I went to get the PS2 Burnout 3 game (I needed two copies) and the Scooby Doo double pack for Gameboy. They did not get extra ones in even though they advertised them for $8. They had what was in the case only, which was one of each. Oh boy how stupid. Then I got a few things like jammie bottoms and a remote control hummer for my son and the lines were awful. They were handing out these VCR/DVD combos that were not the right ones so people were MAD.
drug list
Yeah, RXList is a good one. I also like www.drugdigest.com.
