I think doctors should be made to listen to their own dictation periodically, just to see how "wonderful" they are. I used to work in a hospital, many years ago, where the manager of medical records held a meeting and played some transcription from various physicians aloud and many of the doctors were astonished at how they sounded, made a big difference in transcription, there were also a lot of them embarrassed because they could not even decipher what they were dictating.
