she fears for patient care because of the lousy quality of the dictation and she is afraid of the chart being inaccurate and thus negatively affecting the patient's care. I often worry about that too, especially as they are mumbling and tearing through meds and dosages or lab values in their accents at breakneck speed, although that is not limited to just ESLs. That's how I interpreted her comment anyway, not that the doctors give poor care, just that their dictations sometimes stink.
