| I used to do that manyPosted By: WYMTT on 2007-07-30In Reply to: Making 3000 Lines Per Day? - MTMomma

on a regular basis before Microsoft Word took over most everything. I worked on WordPerfect 5.1 and used PCanywhere to send my work - and a C-phone to retrieve my work. I also had to keep a log book with a lot of info on each patient - I also used PRD (which was the word Expander of choice at the time) and regularly transcribed 3000 lines a day. I also had a radiology account that paid by the hour - $25 - also used WordPerfect 5.1 and had to print out each report - and did between 4000 and 6000 lines a day depending on how many reports were dictated daily which ranged around 100-150 - no wonder they wanted to pay by the hour - that account now does close to 500 reports a day. But they use a program called Cerner - not nearly as MT friendly as WordPerfect. I miss my DOS programs.
