affiliated with a hospital. A few years ago I accepted work from a psychologist (Ph.D.) without a contract who then refused to pay my bill. Now, if a new client comes onboard and is not referred by one of my present clients, I ask them to pay a new client fee, which is paid in advance and later applied towards their first invoice. Be smart and protect yourself, or you may be sorry later on. And don't sell your services cheap either, or you will regret that also.
