IC/Emp

I have been an IC my whole MT life. I have researched IC versus employee and found, for myself, that basically the only difference was benefits with being an employee and having a set, nearly in stone, schedule. As an IC, I have a minimum line count, but no maximum. I work as much as I want/can and when I want/can, as long as I make that minimum line count my company is very happy! I find this to be very helpful when I am sick I can still make my line count, I just do as much as I can (at least the min) and just know that it is going to take me longer because I am sick. When my girls are sick I can be there to take care of them, just again know that it is going to take me longer because they are sick. On the flip side, when my mom or mother-in-law takes the girls overnight or for any amount of time, I put in extra lines! I stay an IC because I do not need the benefits, hubby has excellent benefits! I hope this helps:)
