If you move your mouse down past the boards,

there's a 3 choice list that goes along with you to the bottom of the page. It's just my guess that this is what the person is referring to, although I don't think that it's that big of a problem that someone should have a problem with it. Get accustomed to??? Just ignore!

I am sorry. I meant boards not broads. Now those darn boards have disappeared again.
:
but boards will be dano's boards and that's the issue. no one dare disagree with dano.
yes the boards will be boring with just one-sided opinions but we need to please dano. isn't that the purpose of MT Stars?
But why sign it to put the past behind? The past should have

It seems that they dredged up the past by wanting the release signed to keep them out of trouble for unfair employment practices.  Usually when a person ends the working relationship, they give formal written notice, the company accepts the notice, and the employment is over.  Smells pretty fishy to send a termination agreement and, oh by the way, sign this release.  LOL

Keyboard and mouse. Is there such a thing as a keyboard that has a mouse on the actual keyboard?

DQS and using the mouse
You know, maybe the loss of lines is because with DQS you have to use the mouse so much.  I took have noticed since I switched to DQS that my lines are down.  With the last program I used, I hardly ever had to use my mouse.
Not using mouse with DQS?
Really?  How do you do that?  Like when you have to fill in demographics and go from screen to screen?  Or in the body of the report to go from paragraph to paragraph?  Tell, me, please..cause I sure would like to find a faster way as the mouse has slowed me down.  Thanks for any info you can give me!
I move around A LOT!!! - SM
I ALWAYS take pictures before AND after. When I lived in Florida, the apartment complex tried to charge me $700 to pay for cleaning. They said it was because I had pets and I left kitty litter behind, etc. I DID NOT HAVE A CAT!!! Do not just shake this off. They expect that people will not come back and make a fuss, well let me tell you - I WILL AND HAVE GOTTEN ON AN AIRPLANE to go back to a place that tries to charge me. I rest my case - thank you.
If you would like to move on to
a company that can give you plenty of work, your own accounts and not make your life a misery, please email me.  I have spoken with many MQ people recently and have work, but somehow it seems that many are afraid to leave.  I can pretty well guarantee you a good livelihood and little to no hassle .. and if it sounds to good to be true it is true .. plain and simple.
Move On
Same thing happened to the hospital I worked at. We were told we would be hired by the outsourcers at same pay! Ha!
I didn't transition but the ones who did report the pay was all changed once onboard. Plus the new benefits were horrible compared to what we were use to.

I chose to decline their offer, took unemployment and found a new job on my terms.

Good Luck!

PS: In my state, if you lose your job through no fault of you own (outsourcing) you are entitled to Unemployment Compensation.
If I could move, I probably would.
I'm not happy with the kids in my daughter's classes nor have I met many people that I would choose as my friends.  I have met a few good people though.  It's really hard though being young and single here, not to mention working at home, but I've made a few steps over the weekend to change that.  Small steps, but I already feel better.
Can you move...
That would be helpful. There is no need to be hateful, tell people you are at work from this time until that time, and you cannot be disturbed unless it is an emergency. State the fact and then ask them to respect that! I know what you mean when you say people act like you aren't "really working!" It is annoying!
Me three! Let's move on!

Mouse
I'm really technologically deprived, so forgive me.  I was wondering if anyone knew the typical "life" of a mouse?  I just replaced mine about 6-10 months ago, and it's starting to go out already.  It's like the little ball thing (see my tech terms?) isn't working, and it's a pain to try to get the cursor to move.  The one before I had for about 5 years, and before that, it was eons.  Did I get a bad deal, or is this average? Thanks for any help!  (I use it daily, working, if that helps determine the life expectancy!)
I can tell you that if you move to
Houston, CyFair district is excellent. Far Northwest Houston is really nice, as well as the Woodlands, but I prefer the CyFair district so moved out here instead of the Woodlands.

I personally like the city. My husband could live on a farm. This is a little bit of a compromise for both of us. Texas is gorgeous though. If it doesn't really matter where you live, I would consider the hill country.
Why not move??

you said you have no husband, no kids.....so, you are free as a bird!!!  You would be surprised at what can happen when you change your entire environment.

Good Luck!

Same with me, I still use the mouse. SM
BTW, tell me how you do so many lines! I used to be a good producer back in the day when I did a lot of OP notes, but now I'm lucky to do 1500 lines in a day.
I like to get up and move around.

So, two days a week I get to see the world!  HA!  I am a Mom of two.  I start working around 8:30 a.m. and take frequent breaks.  I love hitting the grocery store on a Tuesday mid morning with all of the Mom-Moms and Pops-Pops, and it sure beats the rush on the weekend around here anyway.

I work for about an hour at a time and then break.  I cannot stay glued to the screen as it gives me a headache.  I am very successful and very productive (at least I like to think so).  I do have my own accounts to service, so it makes it hard for vacations, but we get by.

I do work weekends, but not consistently.  Weekends are actually most productive for me since there's not a lot of running around and everyone is ready for couch-slouching by the weekend in my house other than the occasional running one of my kids to a friend's house.

Oh and I should mention, I absolutely love the flexibility of being an IC.  I am my own boss and find it much easier when I need time off to just simply ask myself, "Self can I have a few hours off to go shopping!"  LOL

mouse
I don't have CT and I'm on straight transcription, but thanks to a recommendation here on the board I bought an Evoluent mouse and I can really feel a difference in my wrist when I use it.  Maybe that would help you somewhat?????
hey maybe we should all move to

the Pillafeens!  I mean Phillipines

Mouse gone.
Check your settings on your mouse. Go through the Control Panel, click on "mouse", click on the tab "Pointer Options", make sure the box that says "Hide pointer while typing" isn't checked.
Mouse

Glad it worked!

There is a way to move them.
There is a way to move them with Word macros. Email me and I can email you macros and instructions.
Use your mouse
Just use your mouse and keep clicking on the icon. If not, just reboot your machine. That sounds like a strange problem.

Best not to let other people mess with your work PC.
Mouse
I use the mouse that has the rollerball on it.  I never have to move the whole mouse.  I love it and will not use anything else.  Cost about $30 I think.  I have had it for 3 years now.  You don't even need a mouse pad. I got it at Office Max.  Also, when I type.  I rest my hands on my pull out keyboard drawer and only move my finges.  I have been typing over 20 years, and I have never had any wrist pain.  Guess I am just lucky.
You can also move SH this way

Go to Shorthand, File, Open; rt click on the dictionary and copy, then immediately rt cick on your desktop and paste; cancel the file in SH and minimize; on desktop, rt click and Send To Zipped/Compressed File; rt click and send to Email Recipient.

Let's move on to something else. :D nm
.......
This happened to me, and believe it or not, I had to move

Of course, I lived in a mobile home at the time, so it wasn't that bad, but really there was nothing else I could do.  I tried talking to them, being nice to them, yelling at them, nothing worked.  They would agree with whatever I said, then leave the dogs out, TIED UP, about 6 feet from my back door.  It was awful.  I used to go to work crying I was so tired.    I sympathize.

Time to move
I couldn't stand to be around such ignorant and thoughtless people who keep pit bulls anyway.
Colo move
Hi - I used to live in Colorado Springs, but my Mom and brother still live in Denver.  I can't even describe how beautiful it is there.  email me if you want.
I never use my mouse with DQS unless I split a job
x
Time to move on.
I know that's probably easier said than done, considering all you have invested in them.  Do you really think you can trust this company, even if they were to deliver to you the account you were supposed to be on?  Unless you can truthfully answer that you can, I don't think it's worth it to you to stick around.  We teach people how to treat us by our own behavior.  Unless you take that sign that says "kick me" off, you'll keep getting kicked.  Make sense?  It certainly sounds like you can do so much better for yourself, and that any company would be lucky to have you.   Good luck.
Move to Florida?
z
Don't focus on them. Or if you do, move your
mouse up and down really, really fast to see if it gives you motion sickness. LOL
Sometimes stuff just happens and you need to move on
I sure wish life was a simple as you get married and stay together forever..Life is not that simple and even though we think that we will stay married, things happen sometimes and we find ourselves in a situation we never thought we would be in..i.e., falling in love with someone else or getting divorced cause our spouse has fallen out of love or in love with someone else.  I will not past judgment on anyone who separates and/or goes through a divorce..Been there, never thought I would be..Thought our love was gonna last forever, thought he would never cheat on me..Stuff happens in life. Having gone through it, I realize people grow and sometimes the other person does not grow in the same direction.  Why stay with someone you are miserable with..Life is too short..Nothing worse than living with someone you no longer love or there is so much pain between you that it is even painful just to be in each others company..
they also have the right to MOVE-- They cant tell someone how to live
that is called communism.

Does anyone tell you how to dress?

Does anyone tell you how to wear your hair?

Does anyone tell you what car to drive?

No, it is called FREEDOM.

Maybe they aren't all like that but the ones who move here ARE sm
Apparently our area is an "escape" for the city folks and then they eventually decide to stay.

Unfortunately for us, they want all the big city stuff that you can't have in the country. Can't have it both ways but they sure try.
I tried a wireless mouse
It was too loosy goosy.  The cursor was all over the place. I returned mine.
I need a "shelf" for my mouse.

to hook it up over my calculator pad on my keyboard.  This would be probably metal or hard plastic.  Had one at the hospital and so I know someone carries them; I just do not know what they are called.

I am the person with the tennis elbow-type symptoms.  Thanks for the tip on track ball mouse.  Picked up a Logitech model for 20.00 yesterday at Staples.  They were on sale.

Thanks!

why use a mouse at all? It does nothing but slow you down.

I have one, a mouse shelf. I got it from one of those
zz
(sigh) mouse
zz
mouse pedal
 Would that not be great.
This one seems to only do the mouse click
part, and doesn't let you move the mouse. It says you can use one pedal for the mouse click, one instead of the ALT key, and one for the CTRL key. So you would still have to take your hand off the keyboard to move the darned mouse. At least that's the way I read it.
Monitors and Mouse
I have two flat panel monitors side by side - connected to each other - one is a 21", the other a 19".. its like having one hugh gigantic TV screen - you can drag from one monitor to the other, you can have your email up and running on one, your work on one, etc......watching the work upload as you continue along your merry way. They are both from Dell, one is a Dell Brand, the other one is a Planar. I think its worth the investment, NO MORE GLARE and so easy on your eyes versus the big ole clunkers. and a 15" flat panel is exactly the same viewing as one of those big old 17-19" cluunkers that take up so much space.

Regarding wireless mouse/keyboard, i type non-stop almost 12 hours a day and I rarely have to replace the batteries - I use the Microsoft ergonomic wireless keyboard/mouse.
My poor mouse...
I'm surprised it's still going, as much as I use it out of frustration.  I find myself grabbing it and patting it VERY HARD on the pad over and over and over again, all while saying something to the tune of, "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?"
It may "work" for you but it is a bad move. (nt)

Wise move.
I've been an IC with many companies and an employee with a few others. I've found that many if not most of the supervisors and managers at these places are dead weight authoritarians who get high and justify their existence by puking on people who work for a living. I left at least one place precisely because they tried to hold me responsible for mistakes made by the dictator. Happens all the time.

I wouldn't wish a future in MT on anyone.
Look at using a different keyboard and/or mouse. nm
