Probably the hardest part is finding the Word AutoCorrect file. It has an *.acl extension. If you use Search to find it, Shorthand can probably import it.

Importing AutoCorrect

Hello IndyMT,

No, importing your AutoCorrect list into Instant Text will not make it unavailable to use in Word as normal. When you import it into IT, it simply makes it available to use within the IT program but it does not delete or change it from its original format.

Kind regards,

Kristen

Importing address book

Have address book on my web mail account and would like to import it into my Microsoft Outlook account. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Importing AC/AT into Instant Text
takes a few clicks. See link below.

You can make the transition to Instant Text smooth and easy by setting it up the way you use AutoCorrect.

There will always be time to learn all the other Instant Text features as you go along.

You can always email support@textware.com or call us at 781-272-3200 ext 2 if you need help.

Importing to word expanders

Okay.  I just got laid off.  I've been using Meditech server macros for years.  I doubt that they will let us copy the macros off their server, so I have three questions.

How long did it take you to get up to speed loading your Expander from scratch,

and

if you could take your macros with you, is there some way to import them into any expander brand available, and

is/are there brand/s that are more universal than others?

I know from experience that autocorrect is less than easy to export, at least in my personal experience.

Thanks for your help.
