Don't know if they still do it or not, but a few years back, they used to use female inmates as reservationists for Best Western Motels. I always thought that was rather interesting-- here the women are in jail, they know when everybody is out of town, their addresses, etc., so they can all notify their boyfriends, who will then go out and burglarize the houses. Sleep well, America!

Inmates? In-house doesn't mean that the inmates
do the transcription. It means that the work is actually transcribed by the prison's own employees who usually work in-house instead of at home, not an outside agency!
