Isn't it ironic that...sm

so many speech pathologists have Terrible Enunciation??????  I can barely make it thru this report because this pathologist can't seem to close her mouth to form a hard consonant.  Wish they could hear themselves.

ironic.
While you were teaching IT to recognize what it hears...IT was teaching you to recognize what you see....

ber-doink! :o]
(forgive - it's late)

What is ironic is that...
it doesn't seem that you know the definition of "ironic", uless you have some other meaning to your comment that has eluded me.  Nice to have the grammer police out as well as the spelling police, right?
But you know what's REALLY ironic about it?
I wasn't going to ask, because it's certainly none of my business--plus it would have been wrong for her to TELL me if I had been crass enough to ask--but I'm willing to get cold hard cash that she pays her Transcriptionist MUCH better than those of us who work for the nationals get paid. Go figure.

I will say, in her partial defense, she is one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever known, which is why I am betting she pays pretty well.
ironic.... it's lose

I just find it ironic that everyone on the board seems to be
doing the crap and ESL dictation.  Nobody will 'fess up to doing the good stuff.  I do work for a small MTSO, but I get all the ESLs because nobody else can handle them.  I don't mind them, but I'd like to make some decent money for a change.  I haven't knowingly worked for a company that offshores or uses VR, but they're not going to tell us that anyway.
Also, forgot to mention how ironic it is - sm
that it's okay for our MT jobs to be lost to outsourcing overseas, and in the same breath, the foreigners are welcome to come here and given loans to start businesses in the U.S. Does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that something is drastically wrong with our government.
This is ironic. We are going through the same thing at the company I work for. sm
They want to set the standard at 15 dictated minutes per hour for clinic, 150 lines per hour for HIM and 15 reports an hour for radiology and cardiology. Can anyone tell me if we are in the ballpark? Are these realistic? I am a lead and do not want to scare off my team, but I think we do not get the dedication that we could.

Can anyone else share their quotas with companies (no names necessary) or hospitals?

Are we getting lazy or are expectations too high?
Good post! What I find especially ironic
is at least in our state all the phone work, etc. related to welfare and foodstamps has now been outsourced overseas.

Uh, hello... how about giving those jobs to the people who are on welfare or foodstamps cause they can't find jobs?!?!? Since when did the government care about saving money anyway?
