Isn't it time to go to the fields?

Please Amish lady, go pick the pumpkins and the gourds, isn't it that time of year? Then hitch up your horse and buggy and take them down to Wal-Mart to try to sell them.

But there are lots of fields where you can come right out

what you get a degree in.  Something like sociology, anthropology, etc. - no, probably not many jobs.  Psychology you really need a graduate degree.  Social work you can find jobs with a bachelor's but not that well paying, so would need a graduate degree.

But look at a lot of the medical professions - heck, nursing, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, medical technology (except they call it something else now), radiology, pharmacy, etc. etc. - all are BOOMING.  Just gotta be smart about what you get your degree in.

Have not in MT field, but in other fields

Alt + F9 toggles fields on and off.

You need two commands for fields.
You need to add the End command after each Ctrl + F or all your text after the field will be inside the field when you expand it.

Many big nationals have every specialty now. If you work for one, ask them if you could just do rad and path. You might find path interesting but rad could be a tad boring.

I've been doing acute care for almost 30 years, but I would really like to do radiology and/or pathology. What's the best way(s) to get into these fields?
    Jumping to fields

Hi everyone!  For years I have been jumping to fields in Word by using the F11 key.  Does anyone know if I can customize my keyboard to use alt/c to jump around and how to set that up?

    Thanks!

I have never seen a white man/woman in the fields.
Who would want to stand in 100 plus degree temps or, in winter, nonstop rain, chilly temps, working the fields or tending the cattle? No one who was raised with sliced bread; they'd probably starve first.

I was married to an ag man (cattle). The immigrants come and go across the border often (visiting family). It is not difficult.

They are keeping the price of the food you eat down.
Admin: I get cut off a lot in the subject/name fields.

don't care for it. too many fields to fill
in because it seems like the demo's are never there and of course you don't get paid for that, then you have to wait for extra screens to come up before you can select the dr/cc/patient name/etc.  there's no way to drop the normals in directly without using the menu, the Expander is more hassel than good.  it's straight forward to use but I feel it is a slow process since you can't just start typing without filling in numerous fields.
If you are gpod, you can make a LOT more doing MT than either of those fields.

Wherever you want the field, do ctrl F9. Once you have all the fields....sm
in you do F11 to "jump" to each field.  Makes life a lot easier.
Hit Alt F9 after you insert your file and you should see your fields. nm

Inscribe help... QA marker and fields
On my acct I am supposed to put brackets and put the time of the marker inside [1.12] for QA to review.

When I put this in and continue, my typing jumps to that field and erases over and over.

Can someone tell me how to prevent this??? It is driving me insane.
    Using fields in Instant Text
If you are typing in MSWord you can create fields for the places where you want to fill in the different type of phrases using shortcuts.
    See post:
    http://fitaly.com/board/itmainforum/posts/5849.html

Add fields with Ctrl + F9 and jump to them with F11. sm
Shift + F11 will take you back to a previous field.

F12 is the shortcut for opening SaveAs.
Does anyone use SmarType and Word using text fields {}? When I F11..sm

to the next field {} it causes SmarType to lock up.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

    thanks so much

Make 12 cpl but constantly rewinding, going in/out of fields
If you can utilize speed typing engines, have same docs, the format is user friendly, it is possible, in the long run, to make as much as I do at 12 cpl.

I think you should try it for two weeks and consider that after three months you will be twice as fast due to familiarity.

I understand your frustration but this is happening in all fields.
It affects every work situation as technology advances, etc.

The fact is one cannot expect to have a lifelong career in any one line of work without experiencing some times of either changing with the flow or stepping into another line of work.

hit insert button before filling in fields.
see if that works for you. You will need enough space in between or you will type over the next field.

you also can do columns but I am not good at those; hopefully someone else will come along with info on that.
There are ESL specialists in all fields & all over the country. You've just been extremely lucky
    s
The easiest way for this one is to insert blank fields with Ctrl + F9. You jump to
each field with F11. You use Shift+F11 if you skip a field and need to go back. If you don't see your fields in the doc, hit Alt+F9 to show or hide fields.

Bookmarks and cross-reference fields are used when you have static information you need to pull into a field. That isn't the case when you are dealing with variable info.

You'll hear this claim in all fields by "the suits"

I've said it before and I'll say it again...back that sh^t up with a specific name or a place so there can be actual consequences.  I can throw anything in quotes and say I heard it from somewhere or someone.  It holds no water and only serves to get people workedup for an invisible fight.

Am I doubting what she heard is true?  Maybe, maybe not.  It can't be proven because there is no factual evidence provided.  However, my mother was an LPN and she always said her higherups referred to her as nothing more than an overpaid candystriper or overpaid a$$ wiper.  My father, a machine mechanic, said he was referred to as an overpaid janitor.  It's a wicked old and wicked lame argument to get the reader or listener riled up to basically do nothing and it's amateur stuff.  But, that's just me.

SHOW US THE NAMES!  Then we can gather our pitchforks, burning keyboards, and Betty Crocker aprons and go to war!

How do you make fields in Word Perfect like in Word? I'm drowning out here
in new keyboard commands, macros, etc.  Thanks.
You need to Ctrl + A, then hit F9 to update all fields. To update header,
you need to switch to print preview and back or print the document.

Working full time at home with small children is hard but part time works great
is almost impossible. You will either have to work when your spouse is home or for only a few hours during the day and then more when they are asleep. I work part time at home and my kids (2&5 now) have done very, very well. They are great kids, very well behaved, don't get into much. I stop working to check on them/give them some attention every hour or so while I work (5 hours each afternoon or so) and they get all my attention in the morning and at night. It has worked out beautifully for us.
Yeah, our choc. lab does that from time to time - makes it interesting!- nm

Cannot legally require you to commit time to them as an employee and then not pay you for that time.

    full-time in office/ part-time at home
I currently work full-time in a physician's office and have started part-time online. My hope is to eventually go full-time online; however that will be done the road for a single mom with a son in college. My suggestion would be try to type part-time for a MTSO and see how that goes i.e work and money with a decision down the road for ultimately being home all the time. A guaranteed paycheck is always a necessity for me. Hope this helps.
    I work part-time hours with full-time pay...
I made over 26,000 this year...
I work a full time and a part time, but not sure about 2 full-time...
My hubbie is disabled and I am the only one in my family working also, so I fully understand. You will not have a day off at all working 2 full-time as that is going to be the only way you will get in all your hours. I work one job in the mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the other from 5 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and do have off one day a week, but if I had to get in the extra 15 hours to make the other job full-time I am not sure how I would do that other than lose my only day off. Also, make sure you have your account specifics in front of you at all times because you will get yourself confused as to who is what and having notes will help in that area. Good luck to you, as it is possible, but forget about your house being clean, having any social life, etc. Feel free to email me personally if you just need someone to talk to, as I have been where you are and still am.
Maybe they will. Give it time. It takes time to set up links.

    full time, part time, statutory
    newly defined full time...

newly defined part time....(which is an added classification)

I believe statutory just was not mentioned because there is nothing new about the definition of statutory.
    full time/part time/statutory
The definition of full time is new.

There is a new classification called part time.

I believe statutory was not mentioned merely because that has not changed and they do not receive PTO/benefits.
    I work 1 full-time, 2 part-time....nm

    part-time or full-time
I'm curious. Are you FT or PT? Thanks.
    4 week's time or 4 weeks' time
Does anyone know this one. I will see the patient back in 4 week's time, 4 weeks' time or 4 weeks time. Can't seem to find this in any of my reference books. Thanks in advance.
1 full time and 1 part time for now
I am still pretty new, so that is all I am taking on. I may take on more after I get more experience, if possible.
I never denied that I need a break from time to time, but
I was just stating how I took her post and the fact that I am worried about how my son will react since he is already getting quite upset. But, yes, any parent SHOULD be able to admit that they need a break from time to time...we're only human too! :)
even ISPs have to do maintenance from time to time--sm
and most do this during the wee hours of the morning when MOST people are sleeping and not using the internet. They need to upgrade their services and virus protection just like the home users. This is probably what occurred.
I recently requested time off for the first time...
(3 days off) and gave 2 weeks notice but was asked by my boss to give more notice next time.  I thought 2 weeks was decent, but next time I will give at least 30 days.
Do we enter each time there is a new prize, or just the one time?

    thanks.
