Been taking it for 5 years.  Had crippling anxiety/depression/insomnia.  I take 40 mg q.d.  Have tried to taper off it a few times but symptoms return.  It has also worked wonders for PMS  - no more monthly crying jags or moodiness.

I wrote the Lifesaver company once (m)
and asked them if that was true. They responded with the history of Lifesavers candy and did not mention the hole being there for that reason. They also sent posters and a bunch of other stuff. I always thought they probably distance themselves from the hole being a lifesaver thing because of liability issues, but FWIW, they don't admit to the truth of that story.

I have used it many times. I always check for simpler solutions, but if there are none, this does just what it says and at least allows you to rule out certain things.
