Becky,

I too have changed careers mid life and chose this one because I have always loved to type and I work well on my own. I was layed off from my last job and had to change anyway.

I also had a baby (at that time, she is now almost 3)and I wanted to be with her during the day. It is possible to make a decent living at this. You won't get rich, but if you take into account the amount you are not spending in gas and daycare, it really turns out okay for me.

As far as the companies out there, I only have 1 experience to speak of, but my experience has been pretty good. Keep going!! You'll do fine!
