I would look into something health related
I'd look into something in the health field so that your MT background is at least partially relevant such as insurance claims processor for a health insurance company, a coder, or in billing for a large clinic or hospital. I don't think any of those require more college, although they may prefer some training at least. There are of course many other directions in the health field, but many have you interacting with people.
3 jobs, 2 transcription related.
1 is full time, other two are part time.
Both my kids (age 22 and 24) found jobs in their related field
to their bachelor's right out of college. Maybe you're living in the wrong part of the country. You have to go where the work is.
The job post has been removed and they are unable to post further.

Why was my post removed?
I posted a thoughtful post in reply.

I would appreciate knowing why it was removed.

Thank you.

Was the post regarding Brainbench removed?

Post was removed because it was not on this subject.
It was not against offshoring, it was against the other poster as well as this site.

You posted a hostile response without reason, and it was removed.

Per TOS, offshore discussions by US MTs are allowed, only postings by offshore posters are not.
The post has been reported and is being removed.

MODERATOR - WHY WAS MY POST REMOVED ABOUT WHERE I LIVE
All I stated is that I grew up in the Utica/Rome area, and now it is deleted.  Who did I offend????
Job ads go on the Job Seekers board only, that is why post was removed.

Attn: MTSO - re: your earlier post for a reliable MT that was removed
I replied to your earlier post, as did a couple of other MTs, however, now I see that your message has been removed.
I just wanted to try to touch base with you again.
If you are still looking for help and would like to contact me you can do so via replying via email to this post.
Thanks....

I wonder why your post was removed before?? Moderator, info?
Great post, related to all you said....sm

The answer is comfort - some get comfortable where they are at (and for my PT work, it's my situation at the moment....*lol*).  But I have lots of irons in fires and when I get fed up, it's onto bigger and better things.

nothing related to post - just liked your name - took me a minute
are you in Kansas anymore?

post office jobs
Unless you are a prior veteran or can qualify as a minority, you will have a difficult time getting the job if you are near a major city. My coworker and I (she is black) took the test. I scored a 98, she scored 83, but she got the job.

Not MT related, but pet dog related. See message.
I have a 5 year old Maltese dog who has always been a great sleeper at night. He has always slept on my bed next to me and never budged all night. Last week he started to wake up shivering and panting in the early morning and could not settle back down and would just jump off the bed and go off somewhere else to sleep. Now he starts this shivering and panting as soon as the light goes off in the bedroom but instead of jumping off and going off on his own, he just stays there next to me and keeps sivering and panting and is unable to fall asleep. He's perfectly normal otherwise during the day and sleeps fine during the day, behaves normally and is eating and drinking normally. I called the vet and she thought he was having nightmares. But I'm not so sure. Last night when I went to bed and the light was on for about 15 minutes he was quiet and comfortable lying next to me. As soon as the light went off he started the shivering and the panting and could not go to sleep. Anywone gone throught this before? Should I be worried about his health?
supposed to be, after people lose their jobs, they are forced to take part-time, lower-paying jobs..
with little to no benefits. service jobs. where are you going to work in a few years, when Medical Transcription is replaced by technology? McDonald's, Walmart? you really going to like that?
OSi ads are being removed. (SM)

I was removed off an acct. after one day -sm
as the client requested I be removed. I don't remember being given any samples (several years ago). It was an ESL, a new acct. etc. So I did have blanks here and there, the MTSO had told me not to worry, they'd QA all the work. For some reason or other they did not, hence the work went through as I had left it. Needless to say the client was not happy, so I was removed from the account. I did not lose my job though, but I was peeved for sure about the whole thing. We eventually parted ways and I have not had that problem since.
Yes, the information needs to be removed
If you want to reuse some of the discs, you can reformat them and erase the info.
Had one removed many years ago...
Hurt like the dickens everytime I tried to move my hands or fingers. After removal, haven't had a problem since. Surgery was outpatient. Was able to type (though very slowly) the next day. Back to speed within a week.

I have had nail tips put on and removed
numerous times but I always have them cut them way down the first time and then as they slowly grow you don't even notice the keyboard thing because it's a gradual thing. Before you know it you're typing with the longer nails. Done it many times and that's all that worked for me. Maybe go back and have them cut them down before removing them. I actually had people tell me the shorter nails look nicer, very natural, and long nails are pretty much out now anyway. Plus they are difficult to keep clean. You'll see. ; )
In addition, we have queued the ad to be removed
but it usually takes a few days for it to remove.
And they are removed. If they're not, then they got missed.

The fact that they haven't been removed

I did 3 jobs for a while about 3 years ago, you burn out quick, I was doing 3 MT jobs though...after
10 months I cut down to 2 as I don't like to have all my eggs in one basket.  But I am considering going down to 1 in September for my sanity, its a good steady job so financally it should not be an issue.  I have 2 right but have not worked the 1 in about 3 weeks due to some problems at their end, supposed to learn a VA account but not sure if I want to pursue it right now or not, they are waiting to hear from me at this point. I still have a lot going on with chemo, etc. so am mulling things over.  But if you have a full-time day job, then I would just go with 1 part-time MT job at night, unless 1 is during the week, and the other weekends only, then of course you will be working 7 days a week, very tiring I know.  I have been working 7 days a week for 3 years now but I do slack off now and then of course to recharge and get sleep etc. But burnout happens fast and I doubt you want to lose your day job so be careful. Good luck.
Okay Sandra! We all agree you need to be removed from the board.
Hurting peoples feelings are uncalled for and just plain rude. You are a troll. You are very sad sad person who has no social graces whatsoever.

Again, regarding Keystrokes, I only removed threads because they got absolutely out of control.
