No, the computers will not "bleed" in to each other. They work separately, just as if they were in separate rooms. There is a
"hot key" with the KVM Switch that lets you toggle you back and forth between the 2 computers. When you get the KVM, the instructions will tell you what your "hot key" is - for instance, it might be to hit the "esc" key twice to move from 1 computer to the other.

I've been using a KVM switch for over a year and I love it.
