Let me rephrase

In Reply to: Hey! We could all become engineers, attorneys, - accountants and doctors there!!

Ever MET a WORKING engineer that trained from home, works from home, only works part time, sets his/her own hours, etc?

On quite a few other forums MTs have claimed to do all of the above. There isn't an employed engineer in this country that can claim the same thing. Trust me, if I could have done it I would have! In the thousands of engineers employed by the company I work for not a single one of us have ever heard of a UofPh grad being hired by us.

Not sometimes to follow the guidelines of absolute privacy, it should be 110% of the time... let the medical attending decide what goes in there.
I agree, please let me rephrase...

I don't think anyone ever has the right to pick through the jobs they want, taking only the easy dictators.  If I was going to volunteer for extra work to be done on my time, I would ask if I could work on a specific account, something I'm familiar with.  I wouldn't give my extra time learning a new account.

Thanks to those like yourself for working the weekends.  Lord knows I sure don't want to!  Have a good one. :)

Rephrase Deduction Question
I am considered an at-home employee.  Not an IC or statutory.  I have no itemized expenses to carry forward on the 1040.   I take the standard deduction because don't have enough to itemize.  My CPA says because of that, I cannot deduct my MT expenses.  It does not seem quite fair.  Has anybody else had this problem?
Let me rephrase the question about editing

I posted yesterday asking if people made more or less with editing.

I will try to be more clear....if you are paid at 4 for editing and 8 for straight typing which would result in more money?  I am talking about a good platform, etc.  Perhaps if I put that it would be easier than to ask what the actual rates are.  I am trying to do a comparison.  Thanks to those who replied to my earlier post and to this one.

let me rephrase that - if you are using a dictaphone, etc. for voice, you will be on the phone the e
