Our local community college computer courses were very disappointing as most time was in the lab and they did not help at all with hands-on, very much a waste of time and money. Perhaps your area is different. Try to find someone who will take you on a learning curve instead of you paying out, take less money for awhile at least until you get used to digital. We're all in the same lifeboat, every time you learn a new program/technique, they update on you. Not all companies have the same requirements, equipment, etc., lots to think about but if you don't need the money, earn while you learn. It's a shame to know all we do and be good at it yet feel useless. If you do find someone still on tapes, they're probably frugal and won't want to pay. If you say "tapes" the digital people think you're from the dark ages. Can't win, lots to think about.
