This software can greatly enhance your production. It maintains your database and manages the templates you use. Each doctor can have his/her own templates and there is no limit to the number of templates you use.
It automatically names and saves your documents on closing them.
It automatically records the line count of each document.
It can create your invoices.
You can print a daily log of your work.

With all that said, it will not work if you work on a platform. This software is for people who have their own accounts or who subcontract from an MTSO. Check out the link and see if it will benefit you!

I have found it worth every penny and more.

MPLite - How do you set it up?

I just downloaded MPLite because I stumbled over it doing a Google search for a free trial of Stedmans Smartype which I do not think exist.  Anyway, how do I put a doctor's template in it?  The step by step instructions are not exactly detailed enough for me I guess.

Thanks

Calie

Is there something similar to MPLite?
I tried to download MPLite and it does not work on my computer, and I cannot seem to find any place to get help from their website.  Are there any other programs that are similar?
Thank you... I did get MPlite to work.

I will have to check out MPWord too.  Thank you!

I have MPLite and LOVE IT! nm

MPLite templates

Hi,

MPLite templates are Word documents in the TransMP Formats folder whose filename is used to differentiate which templates belong to which clients. All the templates you have for a particular client will show in the Document Information screen.

1. Start with a blank MS Word screen, and create the template you need there. Use the codewords (eg Last? First? MR? DOB? etc) to tell MPLite where you need this information put. Make sure each contains the ? at the end of the codword, and you'll find a complete list of available codewords in the help file in the chapter Formatting Templates. You can use headers / footers and any other formatting features in your templates.

2. Give this template a name in the pattern FacilityInitials_DescriptivePhrase.RTF. You have to save them as RICH TEXT FORMAT in the Save box, and save them INTO the TransMP  Formats folder. The Facility Initials must match what you entered for that when you registered the facility. Keep the descriptive phrase relatively short, eg, CON, FU, XRAY, HP, DC. If this is a template for a hospital or clinic, you can has as many templates for a facility as you like and can differentiate Dr. John Smith's Consultation by use the descriptive phrase CONjs, and Robert Youngs as CONry or CONyoung. (Note it is an underscore _ and not a dash used in the template filename.)

The list of available templates is refreshed when you start a session. So if you create a new template while in a session, cancel the session, and then reset it so the template list is refreshed.

If you have other questions about the templates, please ask.

Best wishes,

Vann Joe Turner

MedPen's New MPLite published!

We at Emmaus are delighted to announce a new tool for MTs who work in MS Word.

MPLite speeds along the actual transcription process. It works in conjunction with your MS Word, and makes no change whatsoever to Word, so your abbreviations, your spell check and all Word functions will work exactly as they do now. The difference is this: Adding MPLite to your work environment -- with its powerful template customization, patient database, auto naming/saving, automatic line counting and invoicing -- will shave hours off your workday.

If you work with other MTS, you can share settings, templates and data with them easily, and MPLite will even import transcription done by other MTs working with MPLite.

MPLite is available for a free, nothing-left-out  trial.  We think you'll love it and will be delighted with the time it saves you.

Best wishes,
Vann Joe Turner

MPLite and Sticky Notes

Thanks for your question about MPLite's built-in handling of sticky notes.

While in a session, click Tools | With Selected Files, Sticky Notes. A screen will ask you whether you want the program to separate them with Hard Returns, or page breaks. It also asks you to select the files you want to include in the Sticky Notes. The assembled notes will be in the TransMP StickyNotes folder, with a filename comprised of the the client's initials, the date, and the MT initials.

The Sticky Note function does not preserve any header/footers. If you need those included, use the PDF function, which also allows you to password protects the assembled PDF file.

If you have more question about MPLite, pls ask.

Beta testers needed for MPLite

The beta testing for MPLite has been going well.  Phase 3 of the beta testing will begin on Wed or Thurs of this week.

We are soliciting 2 or 3 additional volunteers for this final phase of beta testing, and anticipate this phase to last no longer than a week.  Volunteers should be experienced working transcriptionists, but not so busy that they don't have time to read the help file, and set things up in MPLite.  We need the testers to actually work in the program, and not just look at it.

Testers will receive MPLite free of charge, and all subsequent releases of MPLite free of charge.  If you have the interest and the time to assist us, please send an email to support@mpword.com

Most likely, MPLite will be a the most popular program we have ever produced.  For a preview of it, see our website:

Best wishes,

Vann Joe
