How do you select multiple files when they don't appear together? I use the CTRL/point to select a few at a time or Shift/CTRL down arrow to do a long list, but then if I have to skip over some from another pay period & start selecting again, the first ones I selected become unhighlighted. HELP!!

I have been trying to install the MTStars Flashcount. It installs, but when it gets to checking font, it gets stuck. Anyone know what I can do to get it to finish? Thanks for any advice.

I have not, nor any of my trans had this problem and I urge them all to use the flash count - HOWEVER, when we did have other questions, e-mailing the administrator direct has always proven to work for me. Just be sure to let them know what program / software you run - word 2006, vista etc.
need flashcount help
I downloaded flashcount and was hoping that I could use it right in MS Word to count the actual lines of each letter that I type without having to go to another screen, but have not been able to do that. Anyone know if this is possible or of any programs where this is possible??? Right now I have to count each actual line manually and wastes time. Thanks.

Use the normal slow method in flashcount. Or ask what the comparison rate is for characters- for example 8.5 cents per line is same as 0.063 per character with spaces.

I have to enter my client information (name and address) every time I generate a new invoice. Is there a way to save the client information so I don't have to type it in every single time? Also is there a way to enter multiple clients and choose the correct client from a list and have it auto populate?
It takes so much time to generate invoices when I have to type client info in every single time!

Is there a way to enter your clients information and keep it stored in Flashcount so I do not have to re-enter it every time? Also, what is the difference between Regular Word Count and Extended Word Count in the Rule Selection section? I ran both and got a higher count with Regular than with Extended.

Line counts different using FlashCount
Hi all, I just generated and invoice using FlashCount and I notice that the line counts are slighty different frome the ones I get when calculating it myself based on the statistics in Word. I'm billing by 65 char line. It's not way off, but it is off. One document was off by 6 lines. Any idea why this could be? Is there maybe a better line counting utility out there? I liked FlashCount because it was very easy to use. Any help appreciated.

I would love to use MT Stars FlashCount for invoicing, although I cannot seem to find a solution on how to get the typed reports to the program without having to click on each one by the patients last name. It would just be too time consuming and not worth it if that is how it needs to be done. Is there a trick to this? I do about 300 reports a week for 4 doctors (and I save all reports for about a month on my computer), so I am looking for the quickest and most dependable way to invoice.

They were saying that MT Stars could see (sm)
the message. Supposedly they sent one to an MT using the Reply By Email function and were told not to mention other boards that could be in competition with this one. Since the info was sent as reply by email, they warned that evidently that's not so private here. ??

Hi, saw your post. I too am a Spheris employee currently on FMLU time. Found a great company that does not require you to adhere to a schedule; work just has a 24-hour turnaround time. Producing 1100 lines a day is wonderful. I am just starting, but am satisfied so far and learned of this job from another MT in my small town, who has worked for this company for years. They are InHealth Transcription. Carol Scheer is the recruiter. Check out their website. Good Luck!! Let me know how you fair. I haven't been at this but for 10 years, but I am becoming disgruntled also. I would love talking to someone with this much experience.

something very does sound amiss.(teehee) MT stars should have easily transferred to the new domain by now. But, I would very much remain optimistic about it at this point. This so called message from this doctor sounds like so many of those fraudlent emails that are sent out. you know the ones - I am from foreign country, cannot deposit this sum of money. Would ask that you make transfer into your bank blah blah blah .....I wouldn't trust anything from overseas. If it does happen that it is this way, then all will find out in the end, until then chill....

And, don't worry, I'm not trying to sell anything! I started the site because I was a single mother 7 years ago and was totally lost when it came to MTSOs and working from home and I've picked up a few tips along the way that I wanted to share. Plus the page on voice recognition humor might pick up your spirits.
