MTs phased out

I've heard some doctors are doing their own, anyway that is the goal for my personal doctor. I was talking to his nurse, and the doctor would have his lap top and speak, and it will type it right then and there. I asked him, though, and he said its not working the greatest yet. YET. I really don't think most doctors want to fiddle around with it. Dictation is a necessary evil, in their mind, I am sure. But the technology is getting better and better. I did S/R editing for awhile and hated it! It was a freakin mess. I wouldn't mind listening and fixing a little, but this was like typing the whole thing all over almost!

Will MT be phased out?
This may have been posted before, but anyway, wanted to everyone's thoughts, what they have heard, etc.  Will we still have jobs in 5 to 10 years?  I've been an MT for 10 years.  The last company was going heavy with speech recognition software.  My personal doctor is also using this.  The company I work for now is just starting to work with it.  But I am starting to get worried.
