Anyone know where Mary Patterson (of YOG)
nm
James Patterson

I can read just about any book by him over and over.  More specifically, I love his number series (1st to Die, 2nd Chance, etc...) and "nursery rhymes" series, (Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Along Came a Spider, etc...)

His love stories/tear jerkers are great, too.

They are called Mary Mary

MQ Monrovia
Been told they do pay for spaces but nothing in writing.
TC quit Monrovia
Wow, I had no idea those people were gone.  I avoid all office contact because my TC is the dreaded Yerica.  email me if you have time.  ssc.
MQ Monrovia - Has anyone heard about
Has anyone heard anything about the new pay plan?  Nothing has ever been said to me about tier pay or what "level" I am.  Has anyone else from Monrovia been given any information on this?
I work for Monrovia also and (sm)
have been told that if I didn't meet production, I would be changed to statutory. Unless, of course, I had a reason, i.e.; off work, sick, equipment problems, etc. It has never happened, but they have threatened...
How is Monrovia to work for?
I'm signing on with them this week, and wondering how you like this office. This is my second go-around with MQ and I'm hoping against all odds that this will be a decent office and account. I do multi and ops. Have to do the whole training gig this week, but should be up and going by Monday.
Genetics in Monrovia?
I was on the MT Chat board a few days ago and someone said that MK Monrovia was looking for a Transcriptionist who did genetics reports for Cedars-Sinai, is that person on this site and could you tell me more?  I plan to leave Medquist shortly, but love Cedars, most of their dictators are really good and I really like doing their genetics stuff, even the dictators with accents try hard.  I think MQ must only have two or three MTs who do genetics because they begged me really hard, it is a very difficult specialty.  Hope you can give me an answer!  Thanks.
Does MQ in Monrovia pay for spaces - do you have this ans in writing?
?
Yerrica in Monrovia is the worst! nm

Rude and just plain mean, mean, mean.

I too am from Monrovia and have yet to hear any details!
Please share if anyone finds anything out!
I'm out of Monrovia too and the only place I've heard about it is here.

I don't know if this is company wide or local office changes.  Guess we'll all find out when the time comes.  Until then, I'm not going to worry about it.

Friend works out of Monrovia - after a couple of times (sm)
of not meeting her quota they called and "chewed her out". Nothing was said about taking benefits away.
I was told firmly by the Monrovia techs I had to have an XP computer for DQS, and that

Futurenet
they are WONDERFUL...treat you with respect and dignity.

futurenet
what is there web site???
FutureNet

Does anybody know anything about FutureNet?  Good or bad.

Futurenet.

Good = pay well and on time.

Bad = only have DD if you live in certain areas. Otherwise you get it in the mail or pay $20 to get it overnighted.

Bad = more ESLs than you can shake a stick at.

Good = excellent program.

Bad = some really rude QA.

Bad = no bennies whatsoever unless you live in CA.

There's some good and bad, but so are most places.

FutureNet
Is FutureNet hiring now?
futurenet
Do you know what happened to futurenet. I worked for them and we always had tons of work and now it seems like there is never any work. Did they overhire or just lose accounts.
Futurenet
I used to work for them before getting my own account. I worked for them for a year and a half. E-mail me with any direction questions.
futurenet

I have accepted an IC position at futurenet. First, are they picking up on work?

Next, what about the Wavpedal? They said Dictran USB WavPedal. The price on that is around 219.00; is that an average price. I was shocked. This is the first time I have done IC in a long time.

Thanks!

Futurenet answers...sm

Good - Pay is on time and correct.  Schedule is very, very flexible.  Pay per line is better than most.  Great format and program.

Bad - Work for the past several months is very, very hard to get.  They have overhired EXTREMELY on most accounts and pay day has been about 1/6 of what it once was.  No benefits whatsoever.  Direct deposit ONLY if you sign up as SE (but then that cuts out all you can claim on your taxes as IC), many, many ESLs which some are very, very bad.  QA is rude.  If you don't do the DD, you have to pay $25.00 for UPS to overnight or just wait until regular mail delivers it and depending on where you are that may be several extra days.

These are just my experiences.

Sounds like futurenet

Yes, IT V Pro will work with Futurenet.

Please see the link below for more information.

When I worked for FutureNet
They charged me $25 a paycheck to get it overnighted.
IT should work with FutureNet ichart, right? nm

Instant Text V Pro works with Futurenet

IT V Pro is an Expander program that works with Futurenet and you can import your abbreviation lists from other programs into IT.

Please see the link below for more information on IT V Pro.

I agree. I have a friend who works for Futurenet. SM
They only direct deposit certain people, no rhyme or reason for it.  She has her check overnighted every pay day, which costs her $50.00 a month.  It was supposed to have been delivered 12/23, but it got hung up in one of the terminals.  She won't get it until tomorrow, 12/27, not in time for Christmas.  It's just really bad business.  I would never work for a company that did not offer DD.
Superior Global Solutions and Futurenet...sm

I heard Superior Global Solutions does not get your pay to you.  Futurenet, I have read here does not have any benefits and runs out of work.  Also here are a few other bad ones I have seen and read on here:  SoftScript, Spheris, and good/bad about Transcend.

The good ones in which I have read have been all of the MDIs.  Have not had any experience with them though..Good luck!

When I worked for FutureNet 2 years ago they used but they loaded it themselves. nm
//
FutureNet --- treating me like the highly skilled professional I am.
you can apply on their web site. they sought me out... grape vine told them i was hating MQ --

only downside... no benefits, gotta be SE... it's what MQ was going to do to me anyway, so no big loss..
Mary Kay all the way
Hi. I have used (and sold) Mary Kay since my early 20's. (I am now in my 40s) I have strayed from the path to other brands twice, and my face did not like them. So, I always always come back to Mary Kay. The newest and greatest is our microderm abrasion set! I SWEAR I HAVE NEW SKIN
Mary Kay

Skin care is so important....especially after 30!!!  I love Mary Kay's Time Wise Cleanser and Moisturizer and the Microdermabrasion is unlike any other on the market!!  I wouldn't want to be without it - EVER!!  It's a staple in my budget!  I highly recommend it for every skin type!!   It's GREAT!  Lisa

Mary Kay
I don't know where you get your information, but Mary Kay DOES NOT test products on animals!

Way to go Mary! Yum yum......

Mary.....(sm)
I have the exact same problem as you right now. Because of it, I am not having any success with installing the latest version of McAfee. It's actually stopping me from putting the anti-virus software on my computer. I was just wondering if you were able to solve your problem? I have no idea how to get rid of it?!!
Mary Kay is the bestest!
I've used it since I was an early teen (Mother sold it). She started me young because my older sister had horrible acne (it worked miracles on her). In my entire life I've had MAYBE 5 pimples :)

I'm 50 now, and looked way younger than my years ... until I went through treatment, which aged me, but I still look pretty good for a 50 year old.

I also tried a couple of other skin cares (VERY temporarily). My face itched, turned red, etc. I came straight back to MK, and won't stray again.
There's another one similar to Mary Kay... sm
called BeautiControl...talk about expensive!! On the other hand, I love Pampered Chef and most of their products, but can't stand some of the pushy consultants who think you just "need to have a party!"  I understand that they make a living doing what they do, but give me a break!
Congrats Mary! :-) nm

Au Contraire, Mary...
I've SEEN voice recognition, through Escription, at its finest. It is most definitely not a fantasy on the other poster's part. The technology is amazing but, yes, it does continue to require human overseers for minor cleanup even when working at its best. These dictators were so good, even Escription could detect the subtle differences in, for example, Xanax and Zantac and various other sound-alike drugs.

The blessing and the curse of the technology is, it can only be as good as the humans dictating. We've all seen the deterioration in the quality of dictators, particularly over the past 3-5 years. While most of us tend to complain about sloppy dictators, indecisive 'transcriptionist, go back up' throughout the entire report, ESLs, etc., those are the MTs saving grace. With those types of dictators, the technology will never be able to fully render us obsolete.

In a perfect world with near-perfect dictators and the ability to edit their own work, I sadly predict we would all be looking for a new career within 5 years.

The technology is there and, in the right scenario, it's frighteningly accurate. Luckily, the all-too-human dictators are holding it back from rendering us obsolete.

With all due respect for your opinion, I must disagree. I've seen voice recognition, through Escription, at its finest, at optimal utilization. I AM NOT MARY!   There you go again, thinking you are so darn smart.  Well, you got the wrong person this time.
Exactly. That's how Mary Kay hooks women-SM
by showering them with positive attention, atta girl, you go girl.  It is unnecessary and we are not dogs.
