I do transcription for a 35 bed rural facility and I am the only FT Transcriptionist with two PT with one transcribing x-rays only when I am not available and one transcribing anything after hours and every other weekend. May I ask what type of reports are being done their. Obviously, basic four but does the dictation include anything else like ER, physical therapy or progress notes? Just seems like a lot of transcriptionists for only 45 beds. I guess it depends on what type of service is provided.
