I just checked out the Dell site and found out that they're selling Vista with an XP ''downgrade'' now. (see link below) Though I'm sure you have to specify that when you order. If you did, then you should have an XP disc to install XP Pro on there, even if it's showing Vista. I guess that's how it works now. I thought you could get them with just XP, but maybe not anymore.
You could always try calling Dell's so-called ''technical support'' for some info. Ack. That's the only thing I hate about my Dell. I did get a free camera out of it, though, after they wasted hours and hours of my life with a video card issue years ago and I complained vehemently on the internet and to the company about the poor service I'd received. I figured it out, and if I'd actually worked during all the wasted time I spent with the idjits at Dell, I would have made almost exactly the same amount the camera cost. Talk about karmic...
