Monkey bars aren't the problem. I never once fell off. Neither did my brother. Kids need to climb

Keep your kids off the monkey bars
How many reports have I typed just this week, 7 year old fell off the monkey bars, sustained both bone forearm fracture.  Monkey bars must be among the most dangerous things on earth.  Always hear warnings to keep kids off trampolines but I've never typed anything on 7 year old fell off trampoline.
If there are MTs losing their homes and can't get presents for their kids, they aren't living
Sheesh!
Behind bars?
I did not plan to take retirement. This was an emergency situation. I thought I could make it on my reduced pension but could not. I am not trying to be underhanded. I am trying to find a way NOT to go over $900 and lose my pension. Geeeeeez people. Like Lori, I planned to work forever but Uncle Sam taking our children somewhere we did not need to be has changed my plans! All I wanted to know is HOW to you become and IC and how does that tax come out of my husband's pay like a lady further back on the board said, and how do I find a job on this board that will allow me to type so little I only make $900. That's not breaking the law, ladies. It would be breaking the law IF I went over $900 and would reduce my pension and that is what I am trying to AVOID. Why does everyone think I am trying to do something illegal?
Thank goodness he is behind bars
There is no punishment severe enough for someone like that.
And to think he was a teacher :-(

I always believed Patsy and, as a mother, couldn't imagine being falsely accused the way she was. How awful. And to die before her name was cleared. Sad, so very sad. Thank goodness she knew the case was progressing and a clear suspect was being investigated. May Patsy and JonBenet both rest in peace. Bless the family.
Moving menu bars
You may have just moved it - try moving your other toolbars around, see if it comes back.  I've done the same thing in the past!

Usually you can click - drag and drop them where you want them - hope this works for you this time.
I was told a monkey could do my job - sm
I transcribed for five doctors, 3 nurse midwives, all the correspondence, answered the phones, copied multiple charts a day - all in 8 hours with no overtime. When the office manager told me a monkey could do my job - I quit.

A year later I was in the office - the office now had 3 doctors, 1 midwife, a secretary copied the medical records and answered the phones and handled correspondence and TWO TRANSCRIPTIONISTS could not keep up with just the transcription and were on overtime.

Monkey's are too smart for the job! LOL - nm

Monkey bar injuries
Actually there is more than broken bones that occur. When my daughter was 7 she was not tall enough to reach the steps after she crossed the bars and while trying to reach her hands slipped. She ended up falling and straddling the step(bar), which resulted in surgery 9 hours later, after 7 pelvic exams, at the Children's Hospital. She tore both sides of her urethra from the impact. While waiting in recovery I was commenting to the nurse that I could not believe playing on the playground at recess ended us up in the hospital, she said they saw the same injury numerous times a year and most schools take the monkey bars out when they replace the playground equipment. Ours did.
A monkey could do your job then. Doctors mispronounce
things all the time, they even spell things wrong.  It is our job to type the proper word and it might not be the word you hear.   Do what you want, but if you can't produce a quality product time to look for another job.
a monkey can learn to type (cut off)

Almond Joy, Mounds Bars, and Peppermint Patties!
I always buy enough so there are some left over
I love Paydays, Nutrageous and especially the old Mars bars. YUM! NM

ROFL You're right! Truly! A flying monkey could do this with a little training!
You can get the training on the job as easily as anywhere else.

Like I said before, yes - MT schools will give ground work but it isn't necessary!

Wayyyy too many of us learned this without schools! ROFL

No degree, no certification, no license required!!

Best MTs I've ever known NEVER had "proper education" while those coming from MT schools NEVER got any better than their starting point!!!

ROFL
Who croaked and made you head monkey? You are so full of yourself.

Happiness is finding a small stash of frozen Snickers bars
left over from Halloween.  Today is a really bad day for me.  Can't I just go back to bed and start all over again tomorrow?
I love it! Chunky Monkey. That is what me and my mother call my daughter. sm

Not to her of course.. She is 10 years old and in a size 14 to 16.  We know it is only a spurt because her father is over 6 ft and I am 5 ft 3 in, not overweight, but spreading.

Monkey has been her nick-name since she was a baby and now when my mother and I are discussing me shopping for clothes for 10 y/o, playing soccer for exercise, etc., we refer to her as chunky monkey.

Just thought I would share that with you.

Fell sorry.....
BRAVO!!!!!!
Yeah, we have no skills or intelligence whatsoever. We just fill in blanks! Geez! A monkey can le

Is that all you do, type?  It's not all I do either.  I have to know what I'm talking about, apparently you don't because you can just leave blanks!

I kind of fell into it
It's for a local insurance company. I have a friend who works there, and the service that they used was charging a lot. She knew I was looking for a part-time job to supplement my income (at that time I was working out of the home as a legal secretary). We started out working on it together, and then she stopped and I do all the tapes now. It's good money. I've been doing it for about 7 years.
How dumb are you? Evidently you fell from somewhere.

Maybe it was where you post fell .. I thought
that you thought I was telling you that.

OH WELL I'M CONFUSED NOW. ROFL

I meant no harm or bother to anyone.

My babies are in bed. I'm going there, too. I think I'll just stay quiet for a while.
My husband fell back on ME. SM
He had his own auto repair business and I bought his parts half the time.
If a pill causes an abrasion while going down, it can fell like it is still there. nm

I got the same email regarding pay....ALMOST FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR

You have got to be kidding me!!

I do the same thing! I have fell asleep at ...sm
my keyboard before. It sucks trying to wake yourself up. I haven't found anything really that helps me that much.
Just as above, the physician said the patient fell
and ordered CT scan and the doctor absolutely checking for confusion. The doctor repeated and I listened back to it, intensely. That was said, VR picked it up and how would a newbie know (brain, confusion, could be in some cases, right) it was contusion they were looking for? I did, changed and finally the physician said the correct word, contusion. I also have the VR putting in Dr. Pannicus and the like. Yep, you need to know what things mean, not just typing in words.
okay, thanks, I thought it was always Fri when it fell on a weekend...

she fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down

she fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down

I fell down my steps in MARCH of 05 and my tailbone still ...
hurts a lot of the time.  Both soft and hard chairs are hard to get out of, depending how long I have been sitting.  My sister said about trying an inflatable pool ring, but there aren't many to be found this time of year!
DH refuses to watch it again- says we fell for all the hype - about (sm)

the show being a "classic" .  People on we barely knew.  We kept waiting for it to get "good".  Then the ending!!!!

Holy cow is right.  Is he dead??

Bahaha! Oops. I fell out of my chair.
You're not really a brunette, are you?

Thanks for the giggle.

Mother fell and broke hip Sat, sent home by ER doctor

who said it was only bruised.  Hospital calls Tuesday afternoon and says she actually had a broken hip and needed surgery.  In the 3 days before the nursing home found out it was broken, she fell again.  Has anyone ever heard of the radiology dept taking 3 days to read films?  It was Memorial Day weekend, but even so I don't think it should have taken so long.

So true, when I worked inhouse, the doc fell asleep
while dictating and actually continued to dictate while asleep "we packed the leg wound with BBQ sauce and grilled it". The service typed it as such and flagged it. Boy, was doc ever embarrassed. His fault for doing 50 charts at a pop.
EditScript/Escription - Fell in love with it the first time I used it

disks in C-spine, then huge metal fan fell on back of head!
That is when the real pain began. A rhizotomy is where they cut the nerve roots to relieve the pain (anterior) or muscle spasms (posterior). I just had neurectomies, and my head has been worse for the last two months. The neurosurgeon was unable to get left side because my occipital nerve was entangled in the artery, but he got the right. Now I cannot feel the right side of the back of my scalp; however, I am still having a lot of pain! So much for that.
Do little kids like caramel? My big kids won't even eat it! We make the basic Baker's chocolat

Wear scrubs, they're comfortable and you fell like you getting dressed for work See message.
Go to a local scrub shop, you can get a big bag full for about 100 bucks
I never said you shouldn't have kids! Feeling guilty? I asked WHY you had kids.
You clearly stated in your post that you ship the kids off to camp all day, and they're TIRED AT NIGHT!!  You know exactly what you said.  You said it as a PERK - AS IN GREAT! They're gone all day, it wears them out, and so I shovel dinner in their mouths and off to bed!  You can try to paint it any way you want, but YOU SAID IT.  Again, I only hope your kids never hear you speak that way or write that way. Shame on you.  Why have kids at all?  Just another parent who has them, gets rid of them for day AND night, BRAGS ABOUT IT, and then calls ME wicked!  Give me a break!  Camp is fine - its WHAT YOU SAID AND YOU KNOW IT.  Your own words showed your heart. Period.
Kids are demanding and so is MT work. My question is how CAN you do this with kids, rather than how
When you have two young kids, 11 months apart, (like I stated they are now 4 and 5) and have been doing this since they were born with no help from their father and no family around, YES, the kids get neglected. Part time might work but living on one salary, part time, is not an option. How can you possible tell me that anyone with two young kids can stay at home and work a full-time, 8-hour shift, and still give their kids the attention they NEED. I dont care how good you are at multitasking and how great your organizational skills are. It is a very difficult thing to do. And I am offended by your post making it sound as if it is easy to do.

I do agree that it can depend on how well your kids behave and how well they are able to play on their own. But my kids were not able to play well on their own. They needed constant attention.

So please take the time to realize that there are people out there in different situations than your own.

Reading our posts should help you to understand that everyone has a different situation. I believe everyone should have the right to shares their experiences as it might benefit the original poster in her questions and concerns.

I dont think anyone should be bashed for taking the time out to write about their experiences. I dont usually come on here to argue but you really ticked me off with your post. And try reading the post correctly. I said next time around I would have put them in day care. What I DID do with them was set them up to an activity like art or put on a movie for them. Geez.
Stayed "because of the kids?" I say "leave because of the kids"
You're in no position to buy right now. Keep saving, keep paying down your bills, and for heaven's sake get rid of that dead weight of a BF you're living with. You can do better.
So, should I return the $75 (x2 kids) in music cards I got the kids for x-mas...sm
My son has been telling me about free music sites and I was very leary.  How do they skirt the law Radguy?
I don't have kids, but my Mom was from the "old school," and still had everyone, kids inclu

call her by her first name.  The little neighbor girl next door from the time she could speak called her Aggie (my mom's first name), and they were great buddies until the day my mom pased away.

I don't think there really is much in a name, but more in the respect you are given and the way you are treated.   Personally, I kind of cringe inside when someone calls me Ms. Anything or God forbid, "maam" (makes me feel like Methuselah!) ... I'm always just plain Merrie.  :-)

But, as someone pointed out, to each his own.  If you want to be addressed a certain way, you have that right, and people should respect that.  I'm glad you corrected the child ... hope it "sticks."

Oh brother... here we go

I just love it when someone "assumes" that they know who you are simply by the words you choose and how you lay them out.  Not to mention the fact that should they ever cross paths with you, they wouldn't know you from Adam!  But because you sound educated and spelled everything right and said something that supports this posters adversary, you must be the very person you are defending!  What are you doing MT'ing?  You should be making money as a detective with your special capabilities of deducing who is who based on the written word.

Guess what, I am NOT busy mting or this other guy or any other post on here.  This is my first one on this thread.

Is anyone following Big Brother on CBS?
Just me?  My big treat is watching tonight at 8:00 and it is the stupidest show on TV, reality-wise.  Love to hate it.
My brother did this to my other (sm)

brother.  One thing I will tell you is to go to the police department where the ticket was issued.  That is the ONLY way I was ever able to clear any of them from my brother's record.  My younger brother had gotten other tickets and used my older brother's name, but since he paid those the court told me "If your brother comes in and admits he did it we can take them off."  Yeah, like that was going to happen!  They didn't seem interested in the fact that my older brother had been working out of state during that time!  From my days at the police department, I can also tell you that the cop probably put something on the ticket indicating that she did not have the actual license, but gave valid information.

Big Brother
does anyone subscribe to the live feed who could tell me who won HOH?
Big Brother 6 is OVER!
And Maggie the nurse won the $500,000. I shall miss those peeps...
oh brother
Once again, one crackpot calling himself a born again Christian but with a flawed theology makes those of us who really are born again look like a bunch of nuts. Way to promote the kingdom, David. (not!)
LOL you are probably right, will get my kid brother to do it.
Or I will figure it out I suppose.
I have a brother who had it done (sm)
and you know what I'd really suggest for your DH for long-term success with controlling his weight, in addition to having this surgery, is counseling.

This surgery seems to be a "quick fix" for the physical aspect of weight issues, but no one that I know has ever dealt with the emotional aspect of this problem.

My brother, for instance, says he can eat this and that but then ends up vomiting half of back out because it's a no-no on his intake with this surgery.

Oh, and to make sure he takes all of the supplements, vitamins, etc. I also know of another person who had this done, didn't follow the proper follow-up care in addition to taking supplements and vitamins and ran into a horrible host of problems after this surgery.
